STUDENT COMPLETES WEEK AS POLITICAL PAGE

During the first week in February, a Tampa honor student visited Tallahassee for a week. Miss Ava S. Hargrett was given the opportunity to experience government at work serving as a Page for the Florida Legislature. As a constituent of State Representative Fentrice Driskell, Ava was chosen to participate in the Page/Messenger Program. During her visit, Ava authored and presented a Mock Bill as part of the legislative exercises in which the youngsters participated. In this photograph, Ava is shown with her grandfather, Senator James Hargrett, Jr., who served as her chaperone during her visit, Ava, and State Representative Fentrice Driskell.
