R&B Legends Blackstreet And B2K Snag New Record Deals

Blackstreet

Grammy-winning R&B groups Blackstreet and B2K are gearing up for new chapters in their careers after signing fresh record deals that mark their official return to the spotlight.

XOXO Entertainment, a label and management company, has announced its partnership with legendary group Blackstreet. The current lineup—Chauncey “Black” Hannibal, Levi Little, Mark Middleton, and Eric Williams—has been in place since 2014.

In a statement released to Billboard, XOXO president Adam H. Hurstfield praised the group’s enduring influence.

“We are beyond excited to partner with Blackstreet,” Hurstfield said. “As some of the greatest architects of that legendary 90’s R&B sound, their music shaped the soundtrack of our lives, defined an era, and left an unmistakable imprint on global culture. Around the world, fans have been yearning for that authentic feeling again, and at XOXO Entertainment, we are devoted to bringing it back, side by side with the very legends who created it.”

Sean Combs' Mother Slams Netflix Docuseries For 'False' Abuse Claims

Sean Combs’ Mother Slams Netflix Docuseries For ‘False’ Abuse Claims

Janice Combs and Sean Combs

Sean Combs: The Reckoning premiered Dec. 2 on Netflix and was executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Sean Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, is pushing back against claims made in the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, calling the series “intentionally misleading” and “offensive.”

In a statement provided exclusively to Deadline (Dec. 6), Janice said the program contains “falsehoods” about her relationship with her son and his upbringing.

“I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” she said. “These inaccuracies regarding my son Sean’s upbringing and family life [are] intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation.”

Among the claims disputed by Janice is a moment in the docuseries where former Bad Boy Records executive Kirk Burrowes alleges that Sean Combs slapped his mother after the tragic City College event in 1991 — an incident that resulted in nine deaths. Janice calls that allegation “patently false” and “outrageous.”

Dame Dash Criticizes 50 Cent’s Netflix Docuseries on Diddy, Calls It “Nasty Work”

Dame Dash and 50 Cent

Nationwide — Dame Dash is criticizing 50 Cent over a new Netflix docuseries on Sean “Diddy” Combs, calling it “nasty work” and accusing him of tearing down another Black man for entertainment. Dash resurfaced old photos and took to Instagram to voice his frustration.

The four-part series, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, produced by 50 Cent, follows Diddy’s career rise and legal struggles. It is set to premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, Dec. 2, but Dash wasted no time publicly condemning the project.

Dash wrote on Instagram, “Never trust a black man that will make a documentary tearing down another black man for a white man … that’s nasty work. I’m not playing these ghetto games, that’s played out.” He also shared old photos of Jackson with Daphne Joy, who has been linked to Diddy.

Biggie's Estate Says Netflix's Explosive Diddy Documentary's Claims About The Funeral Are 'Flat-Out False' And 'Disrespectful'

Biggie’s Estate Says Netflix’s Explosive Diddy Documentary’s Claims About The Funeral Are ‘Flat-Out False’ And ‘Disrespectful’

Biggie and Diddy

A representative connected to Biggie’s estate has publicly disputed claims made in a new Netflix documentary.

A representative tied to the estate of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. is speaking out after new allegations surfaced in the Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning, disputing claims that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs charged Biggie’s estate for the cost of his funeral, RadarOnline.com can report.

‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ is a four-part Netflix documentary that explores Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ career and controversies.

The four-part series, which examines Combs’ rise in the music industry and the federal investigation that led to his 2024 arrest, also explores a number of controversies surrounding the Bad Boy Records founder. Among them is an allegation from label co-founder Kirk Burrowes, who asserts that although Combs organized an elaborate funeral for Christopher Wallace, he later sought reimbursement once he realized the price of the arrangements.

However, according to a statement broadcast on The Breakfast Club on December 4, those claims are being forcefully rejected. Host Loren Lorosa read comments she said were provided by Wayne Barrow, who co-managed Wallace’s estate alongside the rapper’s mother, Voletta Wallace.

Loren Lorosa read a statement reportedly provided by Wayne Barrow, who co-managed Biggie’s estate alongside his mother, Voletta Wallace.

Barrow stated he had never seen any indication that Biggie’s estate paid for the funeral, insisting that Combs and Bad Boy Records covered the expenses.

Lorosa explained, “I spoke with Wayne Barrow..who Worked with Biggies mom Ms Wallace in managing Biggies estate .. he was also a really close friend of Biggies… On the 50 Cent x Diddy Netflix doc — He made it clear he wanted to speak On behalf of ms Voletta Wallace not the estate and he says — The allegations from the doc ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ .. that Diddy/ Bad Boy used Biggies money to pay for his own funeral, Wayne alleges, are false.”
