SWEARING IN CEREMONY HELD FOR NEWLY ELECTED NAACP MEMBERS

Recently, members of the Hillsborough County Branch National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, NAACP, held a swearing in ceremony for its newly elected officers. The event was at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, and was conducted by Leon Russell, Chairman of the National NAACP Board of Directors. Mr. Russell, of St. Petersburg, has served as a member of the NAACP Board of Directors for the past 27 years. This was the first time in several years that the organization held an official swearing in ceremony. The officers chosen to lead the organization for the next two years shown from left to right are: Ms. Janelle McGregor, Secretary; Ms. Yvette Lewis, President; Daryl Richardson, First Vice President; and Joseph Robinson, Second Vice President. Ray Campbell, Treasurer; is not shown in the photograph. (Photography by Toby Scott).
