Early Voting For General Election  Begins Monday

The 2018 General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 6th. However, those wishing to participate in Early Voting may do so at several locations throughout Hillsborough County.

A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office said the hours in which voters can cast ballots has changed from the Primary Election. Early Voting will take place from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., seven days a week. She also said some new Early Voting sites has been added in time for the General Election.

It will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018 and conclude on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Residents can vote at any of the locations during the Early Voting period.

The locations are as follows:

   Bloomingdale Public Library, 1906 Bloomingdale Avenue, Valrico, 33596;

Bruton Memorial Library, 302 W. McLendon Street, Plant City, 33563;

Cyrus Greene Community Center, 2101 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Tampa, 33610;

What To Bring

Voters will be required to provide one or two forms of identification. Acceptable identification includes: Florida Driver License; Florida ID Card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles; U. S. Passport; Debit or Credit Card; Military ID; Student ID; Retirement Center ID; Neighborhood Association ID; Public Assistance ID; or Veteran Health ID (issued by VA).

You may also use your Concealed Weapon License (issued pursuant to s. 790.06); or Government Employee ID.

If your photo ID does not include your signature, you will be asked to provide another ID that has your signature.

Individuals without proper identification may still vote a provisional ballot, which will later be evaluated by a canvassing board for eligibility.

Individuals who choose to wait until Election Day on Tuesday, November 6th, will be required to vote at his or her assigned precinct.
