Etta James, 73, was admitted to the hospital last week.

Etta James is a three-time Grammy winner whose songs like ‘The Wallflower’ and ‘Good Rockin’ Daddy’ made her a key figure in the early days of rock ‘n’ roll.

She is best known for her 1961 ballad ‘At Last’, which has featured in numerous films, TV shows and ads.

The singer has struggled with drug addictions throughout her career as well as battling obesity and in 2003 underwent gastric bypass surgery.
