ADRIAN DEMETRIOUS JOHNSON
A 50-year-old man died at a local hospital from injuries he sustained. He was stabbed during an altercation with another man.
Officers of the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the 600 block of 28th Avenue, South, in reference to the stabbing shortly before 6 p.m., Saturday. When officers arrived, they discovered that Adrian Demetrious Johnson had been stabbed during an argument with 39-year-old Wayman Swilley.
During the argument, Swilley allegedly stabbed Johnson. Johnson was transported to Bayfront Hospital, where he died as a result of his injury.
Swilley stayed at the scene and was reportedly cooperating with police. The investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed in the case.
