Back in 2005, Lionsgate began a deal with Tyler Perry which brought Diary Of A Mad Black Woman to movie theaters everywhere.

For all of you Madea fans, prepare to see more of the producer/actor/director in a wig and a dress as Lionsgate has extended the situation with

Perry to distribute more of his films and home entertainment.

The deal kicks off with Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family on April 22nd.

“Tyler Perry is one of the most powerful and unique entertainment brands in the world today, with a fan base that is virtually unrivalled in its loyalty and passion,” Lionsgate co-chairman and CEO Jon Feltheimer said in a statement.
