LAY ORGANIZATION HONORS STATE SENATOR
Recently, State Senator Arthenia Joyner was honored for her many years of service. The special recognition took place during the 76th Session of the West Coast Annual Conference Lay Organization Worship Experience. The organization paid tribute to Senator Joyner, who is a longtime member of Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, for her many years of service to the church. Senator Joyner was presented a plaque by Reverend Dr. David W. Green, Sr., Pastor of Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church. Among those in attendance at the presentation were from left to right: Hugh Yancy, Jr., West Coast Conference Lay President; Bishop A. J. Richardson, Jr., Presiding Prelate, Eleventh Episcopal District; Senator Joyner, the honoree; Mrs. Connie S. Richardson, Episcopal Supervisor, Eleventh Episcopal District; Mrs. Patricia Wright, President Eleventh Episcopal District; and Reverend Dr. David W. Green, Sr.
