FRANKLIN BOYS PREPARATORY ACADEMY HOSTS ANNUAL CHESS TOURNAMENT

 Franklin Boys Preparatory Academy was the site of the HOST Chess Nuts Society Annual Chess Tournament on Wednesday July 20, 2016. More than 300 HOST (Hillsborough County Public Schools Out-of-School Time Program) students participated in the tournament held in the school’s gym. HOST is designed to assist families with a safe and supervised environment before and after school hours. Joshua Johnson, K-2^nd grade participant, 4^th from left, was the overall chess winner. Other K-2^nd participants in the group were: Mauliaro Qurroga, Alex Conley, Robby Navares, Arjun Balasundaram, Brayden Conrad, Lukas Garcia, Benjamin Iorio, Dekyn Stroh and Javier Cazares.
