While she has sold over 100 million records and is a five-time Grammy award winner, many people forget that Janet Jackson got her start acting. And though the star has come a long way since first filming the 1976 television series, ‘The Jacksons’, it seems she is getting back to her roots.

According to reports, Janet and her production company, jdj Entertainment, has signed a production deal with Lionsgate to select, develop and produce one feature film for the independent studio.
