In recognition of Black History Month, Investigation Discovery will be broadcasting The Injustice Files showcasing three world premiere documentaries, commencing Friday, February 18, 2011, at 9 p. m., February 25 and March 4.
The first world premiere is titled: “The Secrets of Natchez.” This documentary will showcase Wharlest Jackson and the Armstrong Tire and Rubber Factory in Natchez, Mississippi.
These documentaries will reflect FBI investigations that began in 2007 that seeks answers to racially-motivated homicides that occurred prior to 1970. Partnering with the likes of: the NAACP, the Southern Poverty Law Center and the National Urban League, as well as local and state authorities, they have identified and brought to justice over 100 cold case files of some of the most heinous and shocking occurrences from the Civil Rights Era.
Also on board for the venture is a leading investigative documentarian and filmmaker, Keith Beauchamp, producer of The Untold Story Of Emmett Louis Till, as well as several others.
The late, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “… justice delayed is justice denied.” We must never forget that there are still perpetrators out there that have knowledge of these occurrences and they need to step forward to help the communities and families that have been scarred from these events, to finally get closure.
