Tampa Police are investigating a reported rape at a local high school.

On Thursday at 1:46 p. m., the mother of a Jefferson High School student reported a sexual battery of her daughter to the School Resource Officer. The officer and a Sex Crimes Detective interviewed the 17-year-old victim. Detectives are working to determine if there are any witnesses.

The suspects in the reported rape are two Black male students. The school is  working closely with detectives on the investigation, and anyone with information is urged to call police at (813) 231-6130.
