Popular Bay Area musician, Shawn Brown hosted an elegant New Year’s Eve event to benefit cancer research and awareness. The event was held at the Embassy Suites Hotel-USF. Lawrence Hires and Jo Mama Johnson of WBTP radio station (95.7, The Beat) were emcees for the event. Brown, a prostate cancer survivor, invited a host of Bay Area musicians to participate. Proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.
