On Saturday, August 24^th, thousands and thousands of people from all over the nation lined both sides of the Reflecting Pool east of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., to commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of the historic “March On Washington.” Fifty years before, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his historic “I Have A Dream” speech to hundreds of thousands of people.  Julian Bond, a well-known activist, who was a member SNCC, (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) in 1963. SNCC was one of the sponsors of the original “March On Washington.”
