The Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County in partnership with REACHUP, Inc. held its ‘You Care’ Campaign Kick Off on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Glazer Children’s Museum. Healthy Start received a grant in the amount of $75,000 from Hillsborough County Department of Health’s Office of Health Equity. The grant targets African-American women whose babies are at the highest risk for poor birth outcomes. Among those who attended the kickoff event were: Jane Murphy, Dr. Leslie Gordon, State Representative Betty Reed, Lo Berry, Deborah Austin, Ph.D., Conchita Boyner, Candice Simon, Caitlin Murray (representing Senator Jeff Brandes), Lisa Colen, Jessica Reynolds, and Kassandra Timothe (representing Senator Arthenia Joyner).
