All over the United States protesters gathered Saturday, July 20, 2013, in protest to the ‘not guilty’ verdict George Zimmerman received a week earlier in the shooting death of teen Trayvon Martin. The protests were set to take place simultaneously at 12 noon in front of federal buildings.
In Tampa, an estimated crowd of 1,500 people gathered in front of the Sam Gibbons Federal Courthouse. The crowd braved the hot, humid mid-day weather with the threat or rain hovering over.
