MORE THAN 1,500 ATTEND RALLY IN HONOR OF TRAYVON MARTIN IN TAMPA

The Rally in honor of Trayvon Martin was held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 on the steps of the Sam Gibbons Federal Courthouse, in downtown Tampa, drew a crowd of more than 1,500 participants. There were several speakers and presenters. The rally was held to demand justice in America following the “not guilty” verdict against George Zimmerman. Rallies were held simultaneously across America at 12 noon. Among those in attendance were: Mike Boone, K. Wright, Sonya White and Reverend Anthony White (First Lady and Pastor of Bible-Based Fellowship Church, Carrollwood), Spoken Word Poet Walter “Wally B” Jennings, and Quinton Robinson, President, Hillsborough County Democratic Black Caucus.
