Triple Shooting Leaves Two Dead, One Hurt

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies report that they have arrested two men for a triple shooting Sunday that left two women dead and another injured.

Jason Mark Burnett, 37, was arrested Sunday night and charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Gary Honish, 47, was also arrested, and charged with accessory after the fact to a home invasion.

Deputies said the shooting occurred at a home in the 7400 block of Manhattan Drive.

Fern Giddings, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Nell Mason, 52, died later at a local hospital.

Christina Soto, 35, ran away after she was shot, and was found down the street from the residence.

Deputies said the three women lived at the home, and according to sources, Soto is Mason’s daughter.

Deputies said Honish knew the women and had allegedly conducted drug transactions with them in the past.

Honish reportedly told Burnett the women would be a great target for a robbery, and dropped him off at the house at 11 a. m. A short time later, Burnett returned, and allegedly told Honish he had robbed the women.
