Golden State Warriors forward David Lee is done for the season after tearing his right hip flexor in last Saturday’s playoff game against the Denver Nuggets.
The loss is huge for the Warriors, who nearly stole Game 1 of their first-round series against the Nuggets but fell 97-95 when Denver point guard Andre Miller hit a layup in the closing seconds. Lee was just 4-for-14 from the field with 10 points and 14 rebounds before suffering the injury in the fourth quarter.
Lee had a phenomenal season, finishing second on the Warriors in scoring (18.5 points per game) while leading them in rebounding (11.2 per game) and earning a spot on the All-Star team.
