Denzel Washington brought a very special date to the Golden Globe Awards.

The Flight star, who was nominated for best actor, walked the red carpet arm-in-arm with his 22-year-old daughter, Olivia Washington. Before beginning his red carpet interview he advised E!’s Ryan Seacrest, “It’s not my wife Pauletta, it’s my daughter.” And then went on to reveal that she is a “budding young actress.”

Olivia currently attends New York University, where she is studying acting. Denzel and Pauletta have been married for 29 years and have four children together; John David, Katia, and Olivia’s twin brother, Malcolm.
