PINELLAS COUNTY – Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced Thursday that Eddie Walker, 24, had been arrested by members of the U. S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Lithonia, Georgia. He is being held in the DeKalb County Jail.

Walker was being sought on a first degree murder warrant following the April 5, 2012 shooting death of Terrence Thomas.

Deputies said Thomas was found near 703 Patterson Street in Largo. He had been shot once in the head.

Authorities said Walker had escaped capture last week, and a reward was offered for his arrest.

Authorities were able to locate Walker through surveillance and monitoring cell phones.
