Temple Terrace and Tampa Police reported that a Facebook rumor about a fight at a Tampa bowling alley proved to be true Sunday night when a brawl broke out involving at least 600 teenagers.

Authorities said Terrace Sports hosted a dance party Sunday night and expected about 300 teenagers. They had planned to handle their own security, but when 600 teenagers arrived, authorities were asked to be at the bowling alley at 9:30 p. m. in case there were going to be problems.

Police said a fight broke out and police closed down the party. No injuries were reported, but someone was allegedly pepper sprayed in the parking lot. It was also reported that gunshots may have been fired between two vehicles.

No arrests were made, and no one was injured.
