The results from the end of the Summer Youth Presentations are in, and it’s a resounding success. The summer youth presentations educate children on the benefits of public transportation, how to use it, and safe travel practices. The program started on June 9 and finished on July 17. In this time, HART’s community engagement team gave 29 presentations, reaching over 2,000 children across summer camps, schools, and community centers. The roster of locations visited this year also expanded by 17 new locations. Overall, this year’s summer youth outreach was a great success.
The outreach team also rode several routes to gather feedback on service changes made this year, including Route 38’s improved 30-minute frequency. Much of the feedback was positive.
The team also rode Routes 30 and 32 to Tampa International Airport to gather feedback on the service. Along the way, they heard from airport employees who regularly enjoy riding HART and connected with a new customer who praised the operators for being friendly and supportive.
