The National Council of Negro Women at the University of South Florida held their 3rd Annual Big Hat Brunch on Sunday, April 15, 2012, 11 a. m. in the Marshall Student Center Ballroom. Brianna Williams was the chair. This year’s theme was “The Essence of a Woman.” The keynote speaker was the Honorable Val Demings, former Chief of the Orlando Police Department and current Congressional candidate. Young ladies in attendance donned their fanciest attire and wore their biggest and most creative hats. Among those who attended the brunch were: Deloria Jackson, Shambrey Oliver, Tralanda Todd, Jalisa Jefferson, Tyler Smith, Kitarria Jackson and Dariel Jackson.
