Woman Fatally Wounded; Man Charged

JAMARIAN BRADFIELD

Police have charged    a 19-year-old man in the shooting death of an unidentified woman. The shooting took place last Thursday.

Jamarian Bradfield has been charged in the fatal shooting of a Black woman said to be in her mid-30s. Police have not released any additional information about the victim.

Tampa Police responded to the report of a shooting in the 10900 block of Brittany Lane at 12:36 p.m., on February 12, 2026. Officers arrived to find the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Although lifesaving measures were provided, she regrettably succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators immediately began gathering evidence and witness statements, quickly identifying Bradfield as the suspect in this isolated incident. Preliminary information suggested that Bradfield and the woman, who were acquainted with each other, were engaged in a verbal argument immediately prior to the shooting.

Bradfield, who was driving a 2015 Mercedes sedan, reportedly pointed a gun at the woman threatening to shoot her before the actual shooting occurred.

Tampa Police Officers scoured the area, located Bradfield at a nearby apartment complex in the 10400 block of N. 22nd Street. He was found to be armed and was quickly detained without incident. The Mercedes was impounded and the gun seized as evidence.

Bradfield was arrested and charged with Murder. He was transported to Orient Road Jail.
