Detectives Investigate Fatal Stabbing

     The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal stabbing in Plant City. An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder.

     On Friday, August 23, 2024, deputies responded to the report of a stabbing in the 5800 block of Bob Smith Avenue just before 1 a.m.

    Upon arrival, deputies located a victim with severe upper-body trauma. Throughout the investigation, detectives learned a verbal argument had ensued and escalated. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later died as a result of his injuries.

Roelmer Fabrisio Mo-Quix, 18, was arrested and is facing a murder in the second-degree with a weapon charge. The victim’s name will be released once his next of kin has been notified.

The investigation is continuing.
