POPULAR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PRESENTS STEM SCHOLARSHIP TO SPOTO STUDENT
A popular, relatively new non-profit organization presented a $4,700 STEM scholarship to a Spoto High School student. The Slingshots of Tampa Bay, currently led by Gabriel Solomon, started about 5 years ago with 7 members. Now they’re up to 1,200 members. A few weeks ago, they presented their first Trenton Card STEM Scholarship, in memory of Card, who majored in Math. The student was selected by the principal and staff of Spoto High.
