The students at an East Tampa school were surprised Thursday morning by a visit from Gerard Robinson, Florida’s Department of Education Commissioner. After meeting with school officials, he toured Middleton High School and mingled with the students.

Last summer, Governor Rick Scott appointed Robinson as the Commissioner.
