‘BLACK GIRL SPEAKS’ AT MIDDLETON HIGH SCHOOL

Approximately 600 females from area middle and high schools were in attendance on Wednesday in the auditorium at Middleton High School for the original performance of “Black Girl Speaks.”  Students from Middleton, Blake and Hillsborough High Schools and Ferrell Middle School were in attendance. “Black Girl Speaks” is a performance by Talitha Anyabwele, CEO and Artistic Director of BGS Productions, Inc. The purpose of the performance is to empower young women. Among those in attendance from Middleton High School shown with Ms. Anyabwele were: Mrs. Waters, Student Intervention Specialist; Gre’shawn Hill, Tynequa Speights, Tykina Jones, Alana Scott, Ms. Anyabwele, Angela Mizell, Ronisha Hill, Kenyan Jones and Whitney Rivers.
