CONGRESSWOMAN CASTOR FILES BILL TO RENAME POST OFFICE AFTER REV. ABE BROWN

Congresswoman Kathy Castor announced Monday that she filed a bill last Thursday to rename the Produce Station Post Office on E. Hillsborough Avenue after the late Reverend Abraham Brown. She made the announcement to the congregants at First Baptist Church of College Hill on Sunday. Among those present Monday for the announcement at the Post Office were: Kimberly Blount, daughter; Morgan Bennett, granddaughter; Vanessa Bennett, daughter; County Commissioner Les Miller; City Councilman Frank Reddick; Patricia Givens, Rep. Betty Reed’s District Executive Secretary; Congresswoman Castor; Yvette Lewis, NAACP Political Action Chair; Altamese Brown, wife; Karen Skyers, J. D., Legislative Assistant to Senator Arthenia L.
