TUTORING PROGRAM RECEIVES $20,000

Last Tuesday, Verizon presented a check for $20,000 to Tampa Bay Community and Family Development Corporation, doing business as Bethesda Ministries, for the purpose of providing tutoring services for children 5-17 years old. The program is an enhancement to the Out Of School Time Program. Several partners have supported the academic enrichment efforts of East Tampa children. Those partners joined Mayor Bob Buckhorn in his office for the presentation. From left to right: Margaret Brookins, Board member, Bethesda Ministries; Evangeline R.
