Looks like the acting bug has bit Brandy yet again. News recently broke that the singer-turned-actress will be joining the cast of the popular show, “90201” for multiple episodes.

Brandy, who is no stranger to the small screen, will apparently play an up-and-coming politician named Marissa Jackson-Lewis who is running for Congress. After entertainment websites broke the story, Brandy took to Twitter to confirm the news.

Brandy has also been tapped to guest star in four episodes of the Lifetime show “Drop Dead Diva” and has been in the studio working on an album.

The Jackson family is announcing a tribute concert for the late Michael Jackson nearly two years after his death.

Katherine Jackson and her children Tito, La Toya, Marlon and Jackie held a press conference Monday on the “Michael Forever Tribute Concert” scheduled to take place October 8 in Cardiff, Wales.

And while no musical guests have been confirmed, Katherine assured fans that “the world’s greatest performing artists” “fit for a king” would be on hand for the concert broadcast in 2 and 3-D in over 30 countries.

Beside remembering Jackson’s legacy, the concert is also scheduled to benefit three charities including the Los Angeles-based AIDS Project.

Lauryn Hill welcomed a bouncing baby boy on Saturday, but it wasn’t all smooth for the singer or her new tot inside the delivery room.

Despite rumors circulating that Hill’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Rohan Marley, and father to Hill’s other five children, may or may not be the father, the identity of the baby-daddy was put aside after a scare the singer had while giving birth.

So what happened?

Hill and her new baby are reportedly both doing well after the little boy came out of the womb with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, reports BlackCelebKids.

Nicki Minaj might not have been informed, but she wasn’t supposed to curse during her show at Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest.

According to reports, The Harajuku Barbie was fined for using expletives during her show. Minaj was handed a summons as she left the stage early on Sunday morning.

She did not appear in court, but her attorney Hugh Thompson appeared on her behalf, entered a guilty plea and paid the $1,000 fine, which is basically $11.70 in U.S. currency.

T–Pain and Antares Technologies has ended in a lawsuit over the rapper/producer’s association with the company’s popular “Autotune” affect.

The rapper, who used to officially endorse Antares’ auto-tune effect, ended his deal with the company in June and formed a new company with Izotope, to promote his own line of “T-Pain” audio effects.

Now, T-Pain filed a lawsuit in United States District Court of Northern District of California, claiming that Antares continues to use his image and likeness in advertisements, packaging and marketing materials for Antares’ rival products.

T-Pain, born Faheem Najm, claims that the audio company without his permission has also licensed his name and image to third parties to endorse their own products.

In addition to at least $1 million in damages, T-Pain is seeking an injunction prohibiting Antares from using his name image, likeness, photograph, voice or anything else connecting him to Antares’ competing “Autotune” products.

Flo Rida is in the middle of a paternity war — even though the rapper claims he has scientific PROOF he’s NOT the baby daddy.

Mr. Rida is accused of fathering a son with a woman named Gloria Halloway. The kid was born earlier this year.

Flo’s attorney, Sandy Becher, tells TMZ … the rapper took a paternity test last month that ruled him out as the boy’s father … but he used a pseudonym to protect his identity.

But Halloway isn’t buying it — claiming she has yet to see a document with Flo’s REAL NAME on it … and her lawyer, Damon McDougal, tells us, “There is absolutely nothing to indicate that [Flo Rida] was sampled.”

While Game is still receiving criticism over his “Uncle Otis” track, he may be getting even more criticism for a recent quote.

Game hinted that after the release of his R.E.D. album that he’d like to make the move to join Birdman and Lil Wayne at Cash Money Records.

“We been playing with the idea of going over to Cash Money or trying to marry that and Black Wall Street. So, we’ll figure it out before the end of the day. I definitely think that’s where I’ll probably end up. Cause they winning, they want to win and I been winning and want to continue to win.”

With only one more album left on his current deal following The R.E.D. Album, Game said he expects to reach a new agreement with Cash Money sooner rather than later.

According to Game, who’s recorded a number of tracks in the past with Weezy, he’s been tight with the YMCBM clan since NBA player Baron Davis’s days with the New Orleans Hornets.

Waka Flacka Flame was arrested in Queens, New York last weekend, and later released. The Atlanta rapper was spotted by officer’s smoking pot in the parking lot of the Coliseum Mall and popped on criminal possession of marijuana.

According to Waka, he spent a night in jail, but was never charged with a crime and later released.

He missed a show date because of the ordeal and later addressed the incident via his Twitter page tweeting, “I’m finna jump on my flight 2 Kc …….. sorry 2 da whole m town 4 not coming I had spend a nite n jail with no charge #onlybecauseirap Can’t no 1 stop with GOD got planned 4me no that,” he added.

LONDON— Amy Winehouse’s mother said the singer was not well when they met a day before she died, a British newspaper reported Sunday.

Janis Winehouse said she believed it was “only a matter of time” before her daughter died. The 27-year-old singer was found dead at her London home on Saturday.

“She seemed out of it. But her passing so suddenly still hasn’t hit me,” Janis told the tabloid.
