Popular comedian Kevin Hart is taking a break from acting and stand up to pursue another passion of his….singing.

In a video HartBeat Production recently posted on YouTube, Hart says, “the thing about me is, outside of comedy I do a lot of other things, but it’s just hard because I never get to show the other side of me.” Then Hart puts his vocal “talent” on display.

A lot of viewers said he sounds exactly like Trey Songz.

Hip-Hop veteran, Queen Latifah, weighed in on the witch’s brew stirring on “American Idol” when she paid a visit to “Anderson Live” to chat with host Anderson Cooper.

As previously reported, diva Mariah Carey and newcomer Nicki Minaj had an altercation that led to the show’s auditions being canceled for the day, and accusations by Carey that Minaj threatened to shoot her.

While Latifah said that she would “never take sides in ignorance,” she also made it clear — in a nice way — that Minaj needed to get her status up before trying to disrespect someone with as much longevity and clout as Mariah Carey.

As previously reported, after Carey called into “The View” to tell Barbara Walters that Minaj called her a “bi*ch” and threatened to shoot her, the “Beez In The Trap” rapper took it to the tweets.

Chris Brown broke it off with rebound girl, Karrueche Tran, to rekindle his “friendship” with ex-toxic flame, Rihanna.

“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Chris Brown tells Confidential through his spokesman on Thursday. “I’d rather be single allowing us to be both be happy in our lives.”

After being spotted kissing, hugging and hotel-hopping with Rihanna all over New York, Chris Brown made a mini-doc saying that he’s in love with two women. It’s not that he’s a “dog,” he explains, he’s just sensitive like his mother taught him.

Rihanna responded to her man opening up about their renewed romance on Twitter: “Ain’t nobody bidness…but mine & my baby.”

Jay-Z kicked off his final concert during the opening of the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the relaunched Nets will play, by taking the N train.

Subway strap hangers were shocked as Jay strolled onto the train at Canal Street in lower Manhattan, and rode to the Barclays Center stop.

Jay-Z owns a small interest in the Brooklyn Nets, but he has become the team’s biggest symbol. The Brooklyn native has characterized the building of the new center, and the relocation of the former New Jersey Nets there, as a homecoming. The new center comes amid widespread renovation of the downtown Brooklyn neighborhood.

At least one quick thinking commuter, who goes by RareUnlimited on Twitter, snapped pictures of Jay-Z on the train and uploaded them to his Instagram page.

John Legend, the R&B singer and songwriter, abruptly canceled a North American tour on Thursday that had been scheduled to start later this month, including an Oct. 29 appearance at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. He said he was having trouble finishing the album he had originally planned to release to coincide with the shows this fall.

In a letter to his fans posted on his website last Thursday, Mr. Legend said that he had fallen behind in the studio and had not yet finished “Love in the Future,” his first new album since “Wake Up!,” a retro-soul project with the Roots. The original plan, he said, had been to finish the album and start performing the new songs on this fall’s tour, which he had announced would begin in Clearwater, FL, on Oct. 16.

“Skyfall” the theme song for the new James Bond film of the same name will be performed by award winning artist Adele.

Co-written by Adele and frequent collaborator Paul Epsworth, “Skyfall” is a classic 007 song, and features a 77-piece of orchestra.

For the last James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, Adele was rumored to be the replacement for the late Amy Winehouse, but it was instead recorded by Jack White and Alicia Keys.

The title song for the films are frequently hits, and have been performed by many legendary artists including, Louie Armstrong, Tina Turner and Gladys Knight.

James Bond first appeared in the 1953 novel Casino Royale by Ian Flemming and Sean Connery became the first Bond actor on the big screen fifty years ago with Dr. No.

Since it was announced that Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey were teaming up as judges on American Idol, countless rumors have circulated that the pair were feuding behind the scenes.  Auditions for the singing competitions began in late August, but until now seemingly have gone off without a hitch.

But TMZ recently obtained footage from auditions held in Charlotte, North Carolina Tuesday, where Minaj and Carey went head to head.

The clip begins with the “Super Bass” rapper screaming at Carey, “I told them I’m not f**kin’ putting up with her f**kin’ highness over there.”

Carey can be heard saying, “Oh why, why do I have a three-year-old sitting around me?” She continues, “I can’t see my kids, because you decided to act like a little crazy b*tch and go all around the stage.”

The whole argument began after the pair had a disagreement over a contestant’s performance.

DECATUR, GA — A cast member of the VH1 reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” has been released from a DeKalb County Jail after violating probation.

Lil Scrappy was released from jail Wednesday, but a judge imposed stricter conditions on probation terms from an earlier conviction.

Scrappy, whose name is Darryl Richardson, was arrested Monday for violating probation from a 2008 drug conviction.

DeKalb County district attorney spokesman Erik Burton says the conditions of Richardson’s five-year probation didn’t require him to report regularly to a probation officer. However, Burton says the probation did require that the rapper inform the officer of any address change.

Burton says that when a probation officer tried to recently reach Richardson, he couldn’t be found because he changed his address.

Rap icon Nas is the latest star to release a video for OurTime.org, encouraging young Americans to vote.

“The future of this country is in the hands of the young people,” Nas says. “Now that I’ve voted, I feel so much power that I didn’t feel before.”

Our Time is an organization encouraging young Americans to register and vote. They have sought help from celebrities such as Usher, Steve Carell, and Trey Songz, among other celebrities, in their attempt to spread the message to high school and college-aged Americans to get out and vote this November.
