SHIRLENE ALCIME

Police arrested a Miami mother this week and charged her with the murder of her 3-year-old twins. The twins were discovered deceased in their mother’s car on February 2, 2024.

On the same day as the discovery of the twins, Shirlene Alcime allegedly jumped from a freeway on-ramp onto the train tracks below. She was critically injured.

Alcime was booked into jail on two counts of child neglect causing great bodily harm on Thursday.

On February 2, around 2 a.m., a driver called Miami-Dade Police to report two unresponsive children in a vehicle on northbound Interstate 95 near the Florida Turnpike Extension.

When officers arrived, Alcime jumped off the expressway wall at a “considerable height” and fell onto the tracks.

Paramedics transported Alcime, Milendhet Napoleon-Cadet, and her twin brother, Milendhere Napoleon-Cadet, to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

She is being held without a bond.

PRECHAE RODRIGUEZ

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Behavior Support Teacher for punching a child with autism. The incident took place at Eisenhower Exceptional Center.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, police learned about the alleged abuse of the child that took place on February 8, 2024, at Eisenhower Middle School.

On February 19, 2024, detectives arrested Prechae Rodriguez, 39, for the abuse of a nine-year-old student with autism who is also non-verbal.

Through investigative means, detectives learned of an incident on February 8, 2024, where the student struck Rodriguez with his hand. Rodriguez then punched the child in the face, causing the child to fall to the ground. Rodriguez is facing one count of child abuse.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
