Keenan Ivory, Shawn and Marlon Wayans are being sued by their former employee.
Jared Edwards worked for the Wayans Brothers for ten years and pitched an idea for a book about women who dealt with men for financial gain. With jokes like “You know you’re a golddigger when you know more about sports players’ stats than an ESPN analyst,” Edwards got his idea denied.
Now that the Wayans brothers released a book entitled, “You Know You’re a Golddigger When…,” their former assistant is taking them to court for copyright infringement and also breaching an “implied” promise to pay him for his ideas.
The funniest part of this trial set for July 12th may be the fact that Edwards committed check fraud and borrowed $12,000 from Shawn, engaged in sexual acts in Shawn’s vehicle; and threw a phone at Marlon and none of these incidents are factors in the case.

Jay-Z continues his business ways by launching a new online marketing campaign for RocaWear.
The brand will seed the web with 37 short videos featuring an eclectic mix of musicians, poets, artists, and of course a troupe of double-dutchers.
This new move is supposed to shift the label from urban to mainstream, touching people from all backgrounds.
“We are a great American brand. We don’t envision ourselves as an urban brand or streetwear brand,” explained Jay-Z. “We wanted to show people how we’ve evolved and repositioned ourselves, without abandoning our original DNA.”
Jay-Z continued to speak on the culture of the business and why he wants to expand it.
“It’s all walks of life. When I played the Glastonbury music festival people said a hip-hop artist couldn’t play a rock festival. But culture isn’t segmented like that any more. There’s so much cross-pollinization and the same thing is true for clothes.”

Tia Mowry is the proud mom to a bouncing baby boy.
‘The Game’ actress and her husband, actor Cory Hardrict, welcomed their first child on Tuesday, their rep confirmed.
Mowry and Hardrict announced they were expecting in January through a joint statement. “We are both so excited to be parents. We have been wanting this a long time!” the couple said.
Earlier this month, the actress celebrated at a baby shower thrown by her ‘Sister, Sister’ co-star and real life twin, Tamera, as well as her ‘Game’ co-stars.
“Tia looked gorgeous and very happy at her shower celebration. She was very excited about how things turned out,” a source said about the party.
The new addition isn’t the only milestone the Mowry family is celebrating these days. Tamera tied the knot to Fox News Channel correspondent Adam Housley in March.
The sisters will reunite on-screen this summer on the Style Network in ‘Tia & Tamera,’ premiering August 10.

Sam Jones was sentenced to spend 366 days in federal prison for his hand in a drug ring … even though the feds wanted him to serve 5 years.
Jones — who recently pled guilty to conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 pills of Oxycodone — was hit with the sentence Monday in federal court in Los Angeles.
Before sentencing, we’re told Jones begged the judge for mercy … explaining he’d lost everything — including his dog, his car, and his acting gig on “Blue Mountain State” — due to the drug charges.
The judge apparently bought it … and said he was cutting the actor a break due to his “minor” role in the drug deal.
Jones will have to surrender to authorities once it’s determined which prison he’ll call home for a year.

HOUSTON — Veteran R&B diva Patti LaBelle says in a countersuit filed against a West Point cadet who claims she ordered her bodyguards to beat him up outside a Houston airport terminal that the altercation began after the cadet hurled racial insults at her. But an attorney for the cadet, Richard King, denied his client ever said any racial slurs to LaBelle.
LaBelle filed a countersuit last week, accusing the cadet of attacking her bodyguards after he directed profane and racial slurs toward the singer.
In the countersuit, LaBelle’s lawyers accuse King of being intoxicated, staggering around outside the terminal, screaming obscenities and trying to enter the singer’s limousine. King was politely asked to walk away from the vehicle, according to the countersuit. King’s attorneys have said the cadet had a few drinks on the flight to Houston but denied he was intoxicated.
