Reality star Evelyn Lozada’s engagement to the NFL’s Chad Ochocinco might be on the skids.  Apparently, the couple’s nuptials have been put on hold due to Lozada’s intuition that her outgoing fiance might have cheated on her, according to TMZ.

The “Basketball Wives” star reportedly had a nagging suspicion that Ochocinco might have been unfaithful and she confronted him about it.  The New England Patriot star wide receiver, who is known for being gregarious and flirty, reportedly responded in a way that did not sit well with Lozada who then decided to call of their wedding.  The couple was set to be married this summer.

Lozada and Ochocinco had signed up to do a VH-1 reality show, which was to focus on their everyday lives as a couple.  The show was scheduled to begin shooting in three weeks, but now it seems the plans are in limbo.

On the Twitter scene, mum was not exactly the word as both Lozada and Ochocinco tweeted eyebrow-raising statements, alluding to trouble in paradise.

Rapper Rick Ross ends the year big. He’s being sued by the Nigerian government. Ross got paid in full to perform at a festival, in Nigeria, but cancelled.

“The rapper, Rick Ross, issued a statement cancelling his performance at the Calabar Festival, scheduled for December 28, 2011, for reasons not related to his recent surgery and seizures,” the statement read. “The performer’s cancellation was unexpected and the reasons are unknown to Cross River State since he has confirmed receipt of his entire performance fee many weeks ago.”

NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana appeals court has upheld the murder conviction and life sentence for rapper C-Murder.

C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, was convicted of shooting a teenager to death in 2002.

A three-judge panel from the state’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeal on Wednesday rejected Miller’s argument that he didn’t get a fair trial.

In 2009, a jury convicted Miller of second-degree murder for shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas during a confrontation at a nightclub.

Miller claims the judge who presided over his trial allowed jurors to hear prejudicial and unsubstantiated testimony that he threatened witnesses to the shooting. He also accused prosecutors of systematically eliminating black people from the jury.

But the 5th Circuit rejected those arguments.

Hip-hop legend Heavy D died from a blood clot in his leg that traveled to his lungs after a long flight from Europe, officials said Tuesday.

The 44-year-old Rapper died of a deep pulmonary embolism last month, which may have been caused by the overseas flight, The Los Angeles County Coroner has reported.

“Yes, (the flight) is the connection. He had reportedly been in London for about six weeks and had returned to LA within the preceding week or so,” Craig Harvey, chief coroner investigator, told the Daily News.

Rapper Tyler the Creator was charged with vandalism after he allegedly trashed sound equipment inside the world famous Roxy on Sunset Blvd.

The 20-year-old “Best New Artist” winner had performed at the venue earlier in the evening.

The police were called by Roxy staff around 11:30 p.m. Tyler was taken into custody in front of his mother who was visibly upset.

LOS ANGELES — Robert De Niro is a father again.

Stan Rosenfield, the 68-year-old actor’s spokesman, says De Niro and his 56-year-old wife, Grace Hightower, welcomed a healthy 7-pound, 2-ounce baby girl named Helen Grace Hightower through a surrogate mother.

She is the couple’s second child. Their son, Elliot, is 13. No other details were provided.

The “New Year’s Eve” and “Limitless” star has four other children from previous relationships.

LOS ANGELES — Melanie Amaro has “The X Factor.”

The powerful 19-year-old vocalist from Sunrise, Fla., won the Fox talent competition last Thursday over soulful 30-year-old singer Josh Krajcik of Wooster, Ohio.

Amaro, who was mentored by judge Simon Cowell and was at one point eliminated then reinstated to the contest, was awarded the grand prize: a $5 million recording contract and a starring role in a Pepsi commercial.

“Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God,” Amaro repeated after host Steve Jones announced her as the champion.

Despite continued prodding from Jones, an overly emotional Amaro couldn’t quite formulate words when she was revealed to have captured the most viewer votes, and she struggled through tears to reprise Beyonce’s “Listen,” the soaring ballad that Amaro crooned at her audition and on Wednesday’s final performance round.

Vinson Hardimon, 28, an Atlanta rapper known professionally as Young Vito, turned himself in to police just days after he was fingered as the prime suspect in the December 16 murder of another Atlanta MC, Slim Dunkin.

Atlanta police put out a lookout for Hardimon, and through the media advised Hardimon to turn himself in, warning that his life might be in danger.

“I got a call today from his attorney,” Atlanta police homicide Det. David Quinn told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday. “He said he wished to turn himself in.”

Sometime after 2 p.m., attorney Derrick Wright brought Hardimon to Atlanta Police headquarters, Quinn said. From there, Hardimon was taken to the Fulton jail.

Quinn pointed out that Hardimon’s appearance had changed significantly after the shooting, comparing his picture in the wanted poster to the man who showed up Monday.

“He cut off those dreadlocks and was clean-shaven,” Quinn said, pointing out a previous photo showed Hardimon with a dark goatee and mustache and long hair.

After things hit the head with Matthew fathering a child outside his marriage in 2009 , Beyonce’s parents are officially divorced.

The couple had been separated for the last two years.

Tina stated that their marriage was “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities” and it “prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation”.
