Two white Atlanta  police officers have been cleared of allegations that they racially profiled Tyler Perry during a traffic stop earlier this year.

The finding comes after a four-month internal investigation of the officers’ actions during a traffic stop earlier this year outside Perry’s southwest Atlanta studio.

Perry did not file a formal complaint on the incident, but the Atlanta Police Department used statements he made on his Facebook page as a basis to launch the investigation.

Despite numerous early reports to the contrary, it turns out the American Idol veteran, Randy Jackson will be returning to the judges table in this upcoming season alongside Mariah Carey.

Allegedly the deal was completed after talks with Latin singing star Enrique Iglesias fell through.

TORONTO  — Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and their cast mates have put in some serious overtime on their genre-bending film “Cloud Atlas.”

Members of the large ensemble of actors take on multiple roles in the epic tale that premiered Saturday night at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Hanks, Berry and their co-stars play as many as half a dozen different characters in “Cloud Atlas,” whose action stretches across centuries from the mid-1800s to the distant future.

Berry’s roles include a journalist uncovering a nuclear power conspiracy to an elderly composer’s adulterous wife to a woman leading the remnants of earth-bound humanity to a new home.

MEMPHIS, Tenn.  — Award-winning singer and actor Justin Timberlake has agreed to be part of the ownership group assembled by billionaire Robert Pera in his attempt to buy the Memphis Grizzlies, said a person familiar with the situation.

The person said Friday that Pera “has assembled a strong ownership group that includes Justin Timberlake, other community leaders from Memphis, and highly strategic national partners.” Pera agreed in June to buy the Grizzlies from Michael Heisley for $350 million.

Usher won custody of his two sons last month, and he wants his ex-wife to accept the ruling and move on.

The 33-year-old filed paperwork to block Tameka Raymond’s motion to retry the case on grounds that the judge was biased.

Tameka alleges that the court ruled in Usher’s favor because his lawyers raised money for the judge’s re-election bid.

According to the R&B star, the mother of his children has made claims that are “an assault on the integrity of the court.”

Remember when Gucci Mane picked up a woman in his SUV, then promptly pushed her out the still moving vehicle when she didn’t say what he wanted to hear? Well, it’s going to cost him 60 grand.

Gucci was arrested in 2011 after he allegedly pushed a woman named Diana Graham out of a moving Hummer — all because she refused to go to a hotel room with him. He pled guilty to several charges and was sentenced to six months in jail.

Diana then sued the rapper for damages following the incident … claiming mental anguish, pain and emotional distress.

A Georgia judge recently ruled in her favor … a default judgement because Gucci failed to show up in court and submitted false testimony. The judge awarded Diana $58,161.24 for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering.

The judge also signed an order allowing Diana to go after the rapper’s cars, bank accounts and other assets to settle her debt.

As the obligatory villain, and self-professed “good guy” of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, the business opportunities continue to roll in for Stevie J, but he’s still very much focused on his music.

The New York native has produced hits for the likes of Mariah Carey, Jay-Z and more, and has been working on a bunch of new projects.

“I’m just going to continue to put out music, continue to put out product. Continue to be a great dad, and a moving force in our community.”

According to Stevie he will re-team with Carey, plus add Kanye West to his resume.

“I’m working on  music for Mariah, for Kanye, and for a host of other artists. I’m just gon’ keep producing and get back on my music game, now that television [is] over.”

Academy Award nominee Michael Clarke Duncan, who gained fame for his acclaimed role in the hit film The Green Mile, is dead at age 54, according to his fiancée, reality TV star Rev. Omarosa Manigault Stallworth.

Duncan had been suffering from complications following a near-fatal cardiac arrest he endured in July. He was discovered by Omarosa, who resuscitated the actor just in time to get him the proper medical treatment he needed in order to survive.

Although he remained in intensive care, reports at the time suggested that Duncan was expected to make a full recovery.

His publicist, Joy Fehily, released a statement from Omarosa confirming that Duncan died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Duncan was nominated for a best supporting actor Academy Award for what continues to be his most memorable performance, in 1999’s The Green Mile. He played John Coffey, a sweet but imposing man, who’s been convicted of murder and possesses supernatural healing powers.

Besides The Green Mile, the 6-foot-4, 300 pound Duncan had memorable supporting roles in blockbusters like Armageddon, Sin City, Planet of the Apes and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

If Nicki Minaj makes the decision to endorse Mitt Romney in the forthcoming election, she may want to take care of something first: registering to vote.

Minaj was flooded with media clips Tuesday (Sept. 4) when a snippet from  her lyrics on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape revealed that she is a Republican and voting for Romney. The line may have been blown out of proportion but in an age when  personal information is just a Google search away, the 29-year-old was quickly exposed for her voting past, or lack thereof.

As it turns out, in the three states where she’s lived, Minaj is not registered to vote. Having resided in Georgia, New York and California the Young Money Barbie never seemed to find the time to fill out and mail in a registration card, or do it online.

Minaj’s Romney lyrics, although pretty self-explanatory, have been picked apart with a fine tooth comb, mostly due to the fact that she’s Black and got her footing in the Hip-Hop world. Placing her in both boxes brings forth the automatic assumption that she would be a supporter of President Obama who has a large majority of the Black vote, and has been praised by many of her partners in rhyme, including Jay-Z and Young Jeezy. The idea that she would stand on the side of Romney, who offers very conservative views on topics like abortion and gay rights (the latter of which makes up a good portion of Minaj’s fan base, since there was  a time when she announced herself as the first “gay rapper”), was jarring to many in the online world who littered the social media sector after hearing of her alleged allegiance to 65-year-old former governor.

To be fair, she never signed up to be a spokesperson for voting, but she had to know that the lyric was going to cause a little controversy, which may have been her intention.
