Former Fugees leader and humanitarian Wyclef Jean has written a new autobiography that will blow the lid off his extramarital affair with former bandmate songstress Lauryn Hill.
The book, ‘Purpose: An Immigrant’s Story,’ which is being released on Tuesday, dares to discuss the reason why his love and business relationship with Hill was brought to a bitter end.
In the book, Jean provides shocking details about Hill’s first pregnancy and how her alleged lies about the paternity of the baby lead to the demise of their affair. Jean claims that Hill tricked him in to believing that he was the father of her first born, Zion David.
Eventually, Jean found out that Hill’s baby’s father was in fact Rohan Marley, the son of legendary reggae artist Bob Marley.
Hill and Marley met in the summer of 1996, and they went on to have five children together.
Jean writes:
In that moment something died between us. I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that.

Lupe Fiasco has been vocal about his lack of faith in our political system, and President Obama, but according to comedian D.L. Hughley the rapper’s disposition is dangerous.
Fiasco, who has taken the commander-in-chief to task on more than one occasion, and announced that he has no plans of voting in the forthcoming election.
In the eyes of Hughley, Fiasco has a lot to learn. “He’s bright as hell, but dumb in the weight of the world,” he said in an interview. “Young black men are going to listen to him. They are the ones who have decisions made for them, [decisions] that they are not even involved in, which is silly to me. You can’t go through life and not be a participant, and hope things work out for your benefit. When you vote or not vote, you are saying yes or no.

Ever since it was announced that “Avatar” star Zoe Saldana had been tapped to play jazz/blues/folk singer and activist Nina Simone, there has been sizable backlash from the Simone family. Why, because Saldana is deemed too light for the role, according to reports.
Last month it was announced that Dominican-Puerto Rican actress Saldana was chosen to play Simone in a biopic about her life by writer and director Cynthia Mort and executive producer Jimmy Iovine.
While the lead role in the jazz icon’s life is a sure win for Saldana, family members and bloggers believe it is a loss for Simone and her legacy.

Gucci Mane may have pushed a woman out of a moving vehicle, but Webbie may be coming for his title.
The rapper was arrested for battery and robbery after he allegedly kicked a woman down a flight of stairs, then jacked her for $340.
Webbie has been accused of attacking the woman inside hotel in Baton Rouge, La. He reportedly entered the hotel after being banned from the location. After pushing her, he grabbed the money out of her purse and kept it moving.
According to his rep, Webbie — born Webster Gradney Jr.— met the woman one night earlier at a party. He maintains that he never attacked or stole from her. Although he did take the money, his people assert that he was merely taking back the money that the woman stole from him.
He has since been released on $9,000 bond, and plans to fight the allegations.

Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson says she can forgive (but won’t forget) the murderer of her mother, brother and young nephew: William Balfour.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Hudson says that Balfour’s upbringing is more to blame for his actions than anything else. “I’m not letting him off the hook for anything,” said Hudson, adding “I feel like, for the most part, it’s not his fault. It’s what he was taught. How he was brought up. We tried to offer love, but he was so far gone, he couldn’t even see that.”
Less than a month after her brother-in-law, William Balfour, was convicted of murdering her 57-year-old mother, Darnell Donerson, her 29-year-old brother, Jason Hudson, and her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, on October 24, 2008, the Academy Award winner shared her grief during an appearance on September 9 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter.
On July 24, Balfour, 31, was sentenced to three consecutive life terms in prison without the possibility of ever being paroled.
