Police said that Reed, 32, was hit late Friday while in the roadway.

Police say the driver called authorities for help, and someone tried to revive Reed on the scene. She was later pronounced dead at Gwinnett Medical Center.

It’s unclear why Reed was in the road. Police say the driver wasn’t at fault and won’t be charged.

Blaque’s hits included “808” and “Bring It All to Me” in the late ’90s. Reed was also in the movie “Bring It On,” released in 2000.

2 Chainz Educates Ex-Felons On Getting Back Right To Vote

Rapper and ex-felon 2 Chainz has teamed up with the Respect My Vote! campaign to help educate disenfranchised felons on how to get back their right to vote.

The “No Lie” rapper talks in a video about becoming a felon at the age of 15 and thinking it was too late to vote.

2 Chainz regained his right to vote after meeting a woman registering people to vote in a mall during the 2008 presidential election.

He admits in the video that “after talking to her and just doing my research, I realized that you can vote again once you’re a felon.”

While sharing that he is “confident in the leader that we have,” 2 Chainz said that it’s just his personal opinion, and that everyone’s opinion matters.

Buju Banton Asks Judge To Reconsider Drug Sentence

Buju Banton Asks Judge To Reconsider Drug Sentence

Buju Banton’s new attorney has asked a federal judge in Tampa to reconsider the 10-year prison sentence the Jamaican reggae singer is serving on two drug charges.

Banton, whose real name is Mark Myrie, is set to appear Tuesday in Tampa federal court for a re-sentencing on a gun possession charge. That charge carries an additional five-year prison sentence.

The motion filed last week includes a letter to U. S. District Judge James Moody from Banton’s former attorney, David O. Markus.

Markus represented Banton in the singer’s two trials in Tampa in 2010 and 2011. He says Banton is eligible for a reduced sentence of five years and a day because he’s a first-time, non-violent offender with “the support of his entire country” and a history of charitable works.

Vivica A. Fox Slams Stacey Dash’s Endorsement Of Mitt Romney

Vivica A. Fox Slams Stacey Dash’s Endorsement Of Mitt Romney

Vivica A. Fox is back on TV with two new shows, Lifetime’s hidden-camera reality series, Prank My Mom and the syndicated scripted comedy, Mr. Box Office.

Fox weighed in on a hot political topic: Stacey Dash’s endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

“I don’t know why she [Stacey Dash] had to do a photo shoot in a Baywatch red swimsuit with the boobs and the whole flag behind her,” Fox said. “And she doesn’t have a job or something to promote right now. I just didn’t get it. She’s entitled to her own opinion but it was just surprising that first of all she was a Republican, and that she did it the way that she did. Most politicians when you support them, you try to support them with class, you don’t need to do a swimsuit shoot.”

Tyler Perry’s ‘Alex Cross’ Flops At The Box Office

Tyler Perry’s ‘Alex Cross’ Flops At The Box Office

Tyler Perry’s first foray into the mainstream action genre was a big disappointment at the box office last weekend.

Despite heavy promotion by Perry and Summit, the studio behind the film, Alex Cross opened in 5th place with just  $11.8 million in its first weekend.

This marks the lowest-grossing debut of Perry’s acting career.

This number came in below both of Morgan Freeman’s films as Alex Cross. Kiss the Girls (1997) opened with $13.2 million and Along Came a Spider (2001) made $16.7 in its debut. Tyler Perry’s incarnation “brought out roughly half as many people on opening weekend as Girls did.”

According to studio research, 60 percent of Alex Cross’ audience was female, 68 percent was over 35 and 74 percent was African-American.
