Kid Cudi was locked in a custody battle with the mother of his daughter, and has given up the fight. The Ohio native has been in a year-long bout over the 2-year-old, but agreed to give his child’s mother full custody back in August.

Cudi got a place in Chicago to be closer to his daughter, Vada Mescudi, and her mother, plus offered financial support for both parties. However, the child’s mother claims to have received “sporadic and inconsistent amounts,” of money and fought to keep legal control over the toddler on grounds that the G.O.O.D Music affiliate has a “long history of consistent drug and alcohol abuse.”

Chris Tucker has been one of the most popular, highest paid comedians in Hollywood for the last decade — but he’s only made three films.

After the massive success of 1998s Rush Hour, his breakout action-comedy hit alongside Jackie Chan, Tucker had his pick of any number of major film roles. But instead he chose to lay low, pal around with Michael Jackson, and get paid $2o million-plus to star in two Rush Hour sequels.

In recent years he’s made headlines mostly for his tax troubles and the plethora of roles he missed out on, including lead parts in Any Given Sunday, The Pink Panther, Tower Heist and Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Django Unchained.

But now Tucker seems poised for a much-deserved comeback, with a supporting role in the Oscar-worthy new film Silver Linings Playbook, which opens in select cities this weekend. Film critics and fans have been constantly asking: ‘What took you so long?’

It appears that Tucker has chosen wisely, his part in Silver Linings Playbook, his first in five years, is earning some of the best reviews of his career.

OAKLAND, California  — Comedian Katt Williams has been arrested after a man told police that the entertainer hit him over the head with a bottle.

Authorities say the 41-year-old Williams was briefly taken into custody on suspicion of assault Wednesday night after the apparent victim said he was attacked aboard a tour bus that was parked outside a downtown hotel.

Williams was released after investigators questioned him and several witnesses. Calls to representatives for Williams were not immediately returned.

Police said the man was treated at a hospital for a cut to his head. His name has not been released.

It looks like singer Solange Knowles isn’t excluded from the often times annoying TSA process at airports.

Beyoncé’s younger sister jokingly vented her frustration on her Twitter page Wednesday after TSA security guards at a Miami airport searched her Afro.

“I kid you not. This just happened to me,” Knowles tweeted to her more than 1.3 million followers, linking to a news story about a Dallas woman who went through the same experience.

The singer, who’s set to release her album “True by the end of this month, is known for rocking big, natural hairstyles.

She was also a spokesmodel for natural hair care line Carol’s Daughter before breaking ties with the company two months ago.

Knowles labeled the incident as “discrim-FRO-nation” before engaging her followers in a game of “What did TSA find in Solange’s Fro?”

NEW YORK — In a quick turnabout, a man who accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of having sex with him when he was a teenage boy now says they had a relationship as adults and it was consensual.

The man, who has not identified himself, released his statement Tuesday through the Harrisburg, Pa., law firm Andreozzi & Associates. It is not known why he made the accusation.

Sesame Workshop, which produces “Sesame Street” in New York, soon followed by saying, “We are happy that Kevin can move on from this unfortunate episode.”

Clash also responded with a statement, saying he is “relieved that this painful allegation has been put to rest.” He had no further comment.

The stork appears to have paid someone a visit.

New York tax officials have filed a demand against Swiss Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, seeking $98,246 in unpaid taxes from 2010.

Alicia Keys’ husband also owes $2.6 million to the Internal Revenue Service for federal tax debts.

In 2010, Swizz Beatz was hit with a $652,727 lien for delinquent taxes stemming from 2008, but his lawyer insisted he was “negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute.”
