Wednesday a sneak peak of Beyoncé covering the February issue of GQ magazine was leaked on Instagram. The photo was soon deleted, but not before countless blogs snapped up and published the image of the star posing in a cut-off shirt, red leopard-print panties and a thick gold chain.
GQ has since released what they are calling “the real version of the cover everyone is talking about.”

Talk about an Odd Couple. Comedic actors Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) and Martin Lawrence may be teaming up for the new sitcom.
The show, which would be produced by Lionsgate TV (the studio that releases Tyler Perry’s films), has apparently been in development since last fall, but was delayed by drama in Grammer’s personal life.
Now that a divorce settlement with Grammer’s ex-wife Camille has been resolved, the show is on the “fast track.”
While Grammer and Lawrence make for an unlikely, if high profile, pairing, few TV fans may realize that Grammer is the brains behind hit African-American shows like Girlfriends and The Game.

Over the last several months, Chief Keef (pictured, left) has been inadvertently drawn into Chicago’s excessive gun violence epidemic, and sadly one of his sibling has become a victim.
Ulysses “Chris” Gissendanner, III (pictured, right) was shot in the back of the head last week, while on the city’s South Side.
Gissendanner, 19, lived in the suburbs and aspired to follow in the rap footsteps of his younger stepbrother. The two became siblings after Keef’s father – Alfonso Cozart—married Gissendanner’s mother— Aridecy Tate—but his link to the teen rapper is not believed to have been a motive in the killing.
Cozart said that even if the fatal shooting wasn’t meant as a form of retaliation against the family, he fears for his son’s safety.
Gissendanner’s had just graduated high school, and was in college and had a job. He was a positive person.
In trying to get his feet wet in the rap game, Gissendanner rhymed under the name “YPN Boomtown” and is said to have had a different style than his stepbrother.

JACKSON, Miss. — A second person faces a charge of murdering a Georgia woman who died from an illegal buttocks implant in Mississippi.
The Mississippi attorney general’s office said in a news release that 39-year-old Natasha Stewart of Memphis, Tenn., was arrested Jan. 3. The release said she waived extradition and will be returned to Mississippi.
Stewart, who also goes by the name Pebbelz, was indicted on charges of murder, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, authorities said.
Morris Garner, who also goes by the name Tracey Lynn Garner, was previously charged with depraved-heart murder and is said to have performed the procedure at his house in Jackson, Miss., on 37-year-old Karima Gordon of Atlanta. Investigators have said the silicone-like substance that was injected into Gordon caused blood clots in her lungs and killed her.

Note to musicians and songwriters, if you don’t pay your debts, you might lose copyrights to the songs you own.
Funk legend George Clinton learned this after a judge granted copyrights to four songs from his extensive catalog to a law firm he owes over $1 million.
The law firm Hendricks & Lewis was awarded a $1.5 million judgment against Clinton back in 2010, but so far has only collected $340,000 of that money. So a federal judge gave the copyrights of the following songs to H&L:
– “Hardcore Jollies”
– “The Electric Spanking of War Babies”
– “Uncle Jam Wants You”
– “One Nation Under A Groove”
According to the ruling, H&L can sell or use the music however it wants — with all money going toward paying back the original judgment.

Nas is good, but CNN thinks Nas is damn good. In a story titled “A case for Nas, hip-hop’s finest MC” the news outlet defends its stance that the man born Nasir Jones is “the greatest lyricist of all time.”
The story cites Nas’ longevity, he turns 40 next summer—and the the gift of rhyme, of course—as one of the main reasons for the lofty praise, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
With “Life is Good,” Nas dropped his ninth No. 1 hip-hop album since 1994. Seven of those have gone platinum, which places him second among rappers only to Jay-Z with 11. (We’re not counting compilations or collaborations here, only original solo efforts, and yes, Tupac Shakur had nine, but five were posthumous releases.)

The beauty with the fiery attitude, model Naomi Campbell was violently attacked on the streets of Paris last month. The scuffle appeared to be an attempted robbery, which left the cover girl on the losing end with a torn ligament in her leg.
As Campbell tried to hail a taxi on Paris’ busy streets, her assailant reportedly lunged at her while her arm was extended, causing her to fall to the ground.
As soon as the 42-year-old’s still-married billionaire boyfriend, Vladamir Doronin, heard about Campbell’s incident, he had his private jet flown in to Paris so that his lady-love could be whisked away to Vail, Colo.
At the skiing playground of the rich and famous, Campbell was treated by one of the world’s top orthopedic surgeons, J. Richard Steadman, who ordered that her leg be placed in a cast. Now Campbell gets around in crutches or in a wheelchair.
Since her incident, Campbell has tweeted positive and uplifting messages via her Twitter account and is still keeping mum as to the particulars of the robbery, because the French police asked her not to reveal any details about the case.

Look out world, there’s another Kardashian on the way.
Kim Kardashian is pregnant with her first child, her rep confirmed. The 32-year-old’s boy-friend Kanye West announced the big news in a big way — right in the middle of his concert at Revel in Atlantic City on Dec. 30.
The 35-year-old rapper told the crowd to “stop the music and make noise for my baby mama,” referring to Kardashian, who was in the audience. The couple first starting dating in April and things got serious pretty quickly, despite the fact that Kardashian is in the middle of a messy divorce from Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries.
Rumors that the reality star was pregnant began last week, when MediaTakeOut reported that she had been spotted leaving an OB-GYN’s office, followed by reports she was being treated for acute morning sickness. Kim’s sisters Khloe and Kendall also confirmed the good news via Twitter.
