Rick Ross made headline news when he was reportedly the target of a drive-by shooting attempt in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ross, who was celebrating his 36th birthday, reportedly had bullets fire towards his Rolls Royce as he was leaving a dinner in his honor.
The bullets missed the Rolls Royce, but the vehicle slammed into the restaurant. Although nobody was injured in the melee, 50 Cent is calling shenanigans. “Hahaha fat boy hit the building? lol it looks staged to me. No hole’s in da car,” 50 tweeted shortly after the news broke.
Ross and 50, who have been adversaries dating back to 2009, rekindled their beef this year at the BET Hip-Hop Awards when a melee broke out between the two crews.

The controversial “Django Unchained” slave toys that have evoked outrage in the Black community will cease to exist.
The Weinstein Company called the toy’s manufacturer and asked them to stop making the offensive figurines after caving in to pressure from Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and a LA-based civil rights group, Project Islamic Hope.
Reportedly, there were about 1,000 dolls produced and sold before manufacturing ceased.

Al Green says if things had worked out, it would have been him serenading President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle at the inaugural ball.
Jennifer Hudson sang Green’s classic “Let’s Stay Together,” leaving many to wonder why the soul legend wasn’t singing his own hit for the first couple. Green had been asked to sing, but scheduling conflicts prevented him from attending Monday’s festivities.
Green said he’d be honored to sing for the president in the future.

Ericka Dunlap, Miss America 2004, is demanding that the pageant organization apologize to her after she claimed that a producer removed her from a prime seat at the competition last week because she is Black, though it has been reported she was sitting in a no-Miss America zone.
Dunlap, the first African-American to win Miss Florida, said, “I was sitting there on the aisle, and during the first commercial break during top 15 announcement, a producer came up to me and said, ‘Get out of that seat. I need the seat. I don’t give a f**k who you are. Get out of the f**king seat.’”
Citing the producer’s tone, Dunlap says that she refused to leave. “I was spoken to as if I didn’t matter. If I were any other Miss America, I would have never been spoken to like that. But I’m the only black one who comes back.” Dunlap says that the producer called over an assistant producer who helped the first one physically remove her from the seat and relocated her. She doesn’t plan to sue but is demanding an apology.
The Miss America organization responded to the allegations, saying that Dunlaps’s account is nonsense. “During the night of the telecast, Ericka was unhappy with her seat, and she chose to move to a camera blocked seat that was reserved for the parents of our contestants.”
