He recently avoided hit-and-run charges that could have spelled serious troubled for him, but Chris Brown isn’t celebrating.
Last week, the singer reached a “civil compromise” deal with the victim of a May 21 car accident. Subsequently, he had his previously revoked probation — which he was sentenced to in 2009, following his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna — reinstated. But there was a hitch.
In February, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office expressed concerns about the community service he’d already served as part of his probation. So on Aug. 17, Brown had to agree to serve an additional 1,000 hours of community labor as part of his probation arrangement.
“N—- done 6 months community service wit police and the DA racist ass crying to the judge that I didn’t do it. F— the SYSTEM!” Brown wrote in a Thursday night Twitter rant.

Moesha star Marcus T. Paulk, who played precocious baby brother Myles on the hit ’90s sitcom, has been arrested after allegedly kicking a woman violently in the stomach.
The woman, identified as Paulk’s girlfriend, ‘Dirty Pop’ singer Andi Roxx, said that he became angry in Beverly Hill’s nightclub Confidential when she wasn’t “paying him enough attention.” Though they argued at the club, Roxx said that it turned physical once they made it home.
When they went home, Roxx says the fight got physical and Paulk punched her in the chin. She says she swung back and busted open his lip, so he punched her again in the stomach, and told her to get her stuff and get out. She says he also kicked her in the stomach.
The next morning, Roxx says she went to the hospital with internal injuries. Law enforcement sources say police responded to the hospital soon after, where Roxx told them what happened. Police later made contact with Paulk himself and his attorney arranged for Paulk to turn himself in today.

Former Disney star Lee Thompson Young was reportedly found dead on Monday, and the cause of death appears to be suicide.
When Young reportedly did not report to work on the set of “Rizzoli & Isles,” fellow employees reportedly called the landlord of his L.A. home to see if they could locate him. And to the landlord’s dismay, shortly after opening Young’s door, he would reportedly find the actor’s body.
According to authorities, it appears that Young died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Young started his professional acting career at the age of 15 with TV movie “Johnny Tsunami.”
Soon after, he would land a leading role as “Jett Jackson” for the 2001 film “Jett Jackson: The Movie,” which would spur the action-hero TV show “The Famous Jett Jackson.” He also had a role in “Friday Night Lights’.
Young was 29.

Add an unpaid struggling intern to the long list of people who think Sean “Diddy” Combs owes them a gang of money.
Rashida Salaam is suing Bad Boy Entertainment for making her do intern duties while she was…an intern. Yes, this is really happening.
The person behind the suit is Rashida Salaam — who claims she took a gig as an unpaid intern for Bad Boy Entertainment from January 2012 to May 2012 and couldn’t BELIEVE the kinds of work they had her do for free:
— answering telephones
— getting lunch and coffee for paid employees
— making deliveries
— gift-wrapping presents
—decorating the office during holidays
Just torture … Salaam probably has a real case, thanks to recent changes in the law regarding unpaid internships (no more free labor for course credit) … but we’re guessing she’s probably hurting her chance at landing a full-time gig with the company by filing the suit.

“Lee Daniels’ The Butler” is serving up success at the box office.
Starring Forest Whitaker as a longtime White House butler and Oprah Winfrey as his boozy wife, the Weinstein Co. biopic debuted in the top spot with $25 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. But the weekend’s three other major new releases, including the action romp “Kick-Ass 2,” failed to find traction with fans.
“We expected to do well, but we didn’t expect to do this well,” said Erik Lomis, president of distribution and home entertainment for Weinstein Co., adding that “The Butler” is the company’s first No. 1 debut since 2009’s “Inglourious Basterds.”

Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and Clifford Harris, Jr. filed a lawsuit Thursday in California federal court against Marvin Gaye’s family and Bridgeport Music.
Plaintiffs, who have the utmost respect for and admiration of Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic and their musical legacies, reluctantly file this action in the face of multiple adverse claims from alleged successors in interest to those artists. Defendants continue to insist that plaintiffs’ massively successful composition, ‘Blurred Lines,’ copies ‘their’ compositions.
In the suit, Thicke, Williams and Harris Jr. claim the Gaye family is alleging “Blurred Lines” and Gaye’s single “Got to Give It Up” sound and feel the same.
“Gaye defendants are claiming ownership of an entire genre, as opposed to a specific work,” the lawsuit states. It also points out that “being reminiscent of a ‘sound’ is not copyright infringement.”
The suit also claims Funkadelic is alleging similarities between “Blurred Lines” and Funkadelic’s “Sexy Ways.”
The lawsuit says that Bridgeport Music, who owns “Sexy Ways,” notified the musicians that if they did not pay a monetary settlement that Bridgeport would initiate litigation for copyright infringement. Similar claims were made by the Gayes in regards to Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up.”

Superstar singer/actress Jennifer Hudson was back in her home town of Chicago Wednesday to lend a hand with the back to school effort.
The Oscar winner and her sister, Julia King, hosted a school supplies giveaway for low-income children at a South Side Salvation Army community center.
“They can bring their list, pick and choose what they may need and go from there,” Hudson said.
The third annual Hatch Day celebration was in honor of King’s son, Julian, who was killed in their Englewood home several years ago along with their mother and brother. The event is always held on Julian’s birthday, who would have been 12 years old this year.
