Last Thursday , Halle Berry and Halle Bailey shared pictures from their time together at a Major League Soccer game. The two attended the LA Galaxy versus Inter Miami opener in California, capturing a long-awaited photo op that evidently delighted fans online.

The former captioned the post, “When two Halles link up. [I] truly adore you, [Halle Bailey].” Meanwhile, the Instagram carousel highlighted their encounter with smiles and a hug against the soccer match backdrop.

Bailey responded warmly, “I was living for this moment! Thank you for being so kind to me. You’ve made my life.” The Little Mermaid actress also expressed her excitement in an Instagram Story. She shared a photo of their embrace with the text, “Can [you] tell I’m freaking out?”

Usher With Alicia Keys

Last Wednesday , “The Breakfast Club” premiered a virtual interview with Usher, who spoke on headlining the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. During the conversation, the Atlanta star was asked about Alicia Keys’ inclusion during the performance and the debate it caused on social media.

“In no way is there anything that was done there that should have been viewed as bad or in any way perverted or anything like that,” Usher made clear. “No, it was literally about having fun because of a song that me and Alicia made many years ago, and we celebrated it because of the legacy of it. No disrespect to anybody or anything like that.”

Last Tuesday (Feb. 21), Tyler, The Creator took to social media to reveal that he was tapped by Pharrell Williams to create a Spring 2024 men’s capsule collection for Louis Vuitton. Consisting of items inspired by aviation and golf, the collection will launch globally March 21.

“Thank you, [Pharrell]. I love you. You keep throwing me the keys,” Tyler wrote on Instagram alongside images from his collaboration. “[To] the [Louis Vuitton] team: Thank y’all for allowing these ideas [to] come to life. Thank you [Darren Vongphakdy]. We really ran in there like we ran the place. And [to Tara Razavi] and [Luis ‘Panch’ Perez]: [We’re] the trio for real.” Tyler also called a custom-made Louis Vuitton chessboard “my favorite thing I’ve made.”

Beyoncé’s latest music has won her yet another culture-shifting accolade, this time in unexplored territory.

Last week, the 42-year-old confirmed the long-held fan theory that the sequel to 2022’s Renaissance: act i will be a country album, as she released two new singles in that style.

On Monday (February 12), just one day after the songs ‘Texas Hold ‘Em and “16 Carriages” went live, a fan account dedicated to the Houston native shared that “Beyoncé is the FIRST black female artist to reach the top of Apple Music US Country chart in history. She is also the first female black artist to occupy the first and second position on the chart simultaneously.”

Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love delivered a huge $50 million-plus domestic opening over the six-day Valentine’s Day-Presidents Day corridor, enough to crush Madame Web‘s $25.8 million start, a record worst for Sony’s superhero adventures.

Estimates show One Love racking in an estimated $51.1 million for the six days domestically, including $33.2 million for the four-day Presidents Day weekend and a record $14 million on Valentine’s Day (rival studios say the decision to go out on sweetheart’s day day was a smart choice in building momentum). The movie’s weekend debut is on par with the starts of such musical biopics as Rocketman or Elvis, and did almost double the business it was tracking to do. (Grosses could shift once weekend actuals are issued Tuesday morning following the Monday holiday.)

Overseas, One Love earned an impressive $29 million for a global launch of $80 million against a $70 million budget. The film opened at No. 1 in 13 markets and set new opening day records for a music biopic in the U.K., France and other territories. In Jamaica, the film set the record for the biggest film opening of all time.

One Love director Reinaldo Marcus Green’s depiction of the iconic Jamaican musician and Rastafarian stars newcomer Kingsley Ben-Adir. It chronicles Marley making his 1977 album Exodus and the events of the next several years, including an assassination attempt and his belief that music could heal his nation in its post-colonial era. The movie’s producers include Marley’s children Ziggy and Cedella, and his wife, Rita.

Two music legends want to make it easier for you to lay back and keep your mind on your money and your money on your mind.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have partnered once again to launch a canned gin and juice cocktail that’s ready to drink.

Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop is the first ready-to-drink beverage the duo has created through their joint spirits company.

The rappers-turned-entrepreneurs are launching the premade mixed drinks in celebration of 30 years of Snoop’s classic debut album “Doggystyle,” which was produced by Dr. Dre. The quintessential album was released in 1994 and features the Grammy-nominated hit “Gin & Juice.”

Dr. Dre said he and Snoop are always trying to find ways to have fun, be creative and “create magic.”

“This product is really us,” Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romell Young, said in a news release. “There’s passion behind it, and friendship and love and a culture. We’re shooting to make everything we do magnificent, and fortunately, most of the time we hit the target.”
