Kendrick Lamar Further Fuels His Victory Free ‘Not Like Us’ Music Video; 33M Views So Far

Kendrick Lamar and producer DJ Mustard

Kendrick Lamar marked Independence Day by dropping his F.A.N. free “Not Like Us” video featuring his fianceé, his children and alllll the homies from Compton.  He has 33 million views and climbing.

While the Drake vs. Kendrick beef might be over, Kendrick is still taking a rightful victory lap.

As previously reported, after their back-and-forth, Kendrick hosted his Juneteenth Pop Out, performing his disses live for the first time while smashing Amazon Music viewership records.

Across Prime Video and Twitch, the live broadcast earned the most minutes watched of any Amazon Music production ever.

Days later, the Compton native was spotted at various spots in his hometown shooting his “Not Like Us” video.

Now, it’s finally here with a July 4 release date to play into his “colonizer” allegations against Drake while reminding the world that the 6 God isn’t even from here.

He also silenced rumors that his business partner Dave Free fathered a son with his fiancée Whitney Alford by having Whitney in the Dave Free-produced music video.

Other “Not Like Us” guest appearances include TDE, Demar DeRozan, Mustard and Kendrick Lamar’s children. Near the end of the video, the entire Lamar family takes a celebratory Crip Walk on Drake’s grave before ending the video with a caged owl.

‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ Rampages Past Major New $360M Global Box Office Milestone

‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ Rampages Past Major New $360M Global Box Office Milestone

‘Bad Boys

Now having played in theaters worldwide for over a month, Sony’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die is slowing down at the global box office, but only slightly. The movie exceeded expectations in its opening weekend and delivered impressive holds across the subsequent four weeks. But with the majority of movie screens now playing a host of newer releases, the action-comedy saw revenues declining both domestically and internationally in its fifth weekend. Starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as fast-talking Miami detectives, Bad Boys: Ride or Die retained a spot in the top five domestically, while it passed a massive new milestone globally.

The movie has made around $177 million in North America so far, having added over $6 million to its tally this weekend. Internationally, the film grossed over $8 million this weekend, taking its overseas haul to over $180 millionBad Boys: Ride or Die’s cumulative global haul now stands at $360 million, against a reported budget of $100 million. Despite its stellar performance, however, the benchmark set by its predecessor, Bad Boys for Life, seems a little out of reach at this stage.

Released mere weeks before the pandemic brought the world to a standstill in 2020, Bad Boys for Life concluded its box office run with over $200 million domestically and around $425 million worldwide. It remains the top-grossing installment in the long-running franchise, which began in 1995 with Michael Bay’s smash-hit first film. Also directed by Bay, Bad Boys II followed in 2003 and grossed over $270 million worldwide against a reported budget of $130 million.

Eddie Murphy Is Still Waiting For Someone To Raise The Comedic Bar

Eddie Murphy Is Still Waiting For Someone To Raise The Comedic Bar

Eddie Murphy

Eddie Murphy is an entertainment G.O.A.T. and he knows it.

Few people, if any, would dare to argue Eddie Murphy has not earned his place as one of the greatest comics the world has ever known.

For two decades, Murphy held the record for being the first Black comic to sell more than $1.1 million in tickets for back-to-back live comedy shows. Entertainment juggernaut Kevin Hart blew past that ceiling when he raked in $15 million for two dates of his 2011 comedy tour, “Laugh At My Pain.” Hart also became one of the few acts to sell out Madison Square Garden, a feat that Murphy pulled off with his iconic “Eddie Murphy: Raw” special in 1987.

However, the 63-year-old is confident that no one has raised the entertainment bar since the world first learned his name. “There’s a lot of people I think are funny, you know, and all of that. I haven’t witnessed the next level. The ceiling of the whole art form, you know stand-up comedy, that’s Richard [Pryor] and the ceiling for, you know, movies and stuff, for me, is [Charlie] Chaplin. And I haven’t seen anyone come along that’s better than Chaplin,” he told The New York Times in a newly released interview.

JAY-Z & NAS UNRELEASED COLLAB COMING TO STREAMING COURTESY OF SHAQ

JAY-Z & NAS UNRELEASED COLLAB COMING TO STREAMING COURTESY OF SHAQ

JAY-Z, NAS & SHAQ

JAY-Z and Nas are set to see a previously unreleased collaboration land on streaming platform thanks to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

Over 20 years ago, an unmastered track called “No Love Lost” which featured the two rap legends, as well as Shaq and Lord Tariq, floated around the internet but fans were unsure if the collaboration was real given the heated feud between Hov and Nas at the time.

Now, fans will be able to listen to the actual song, which was Nas and JAY-Z’s first-ever collaboration, when Shaq’s third album You Can’t Stop the Reign is released on streaming platforms for the first time this Friday (June 28).

A version of the track did appear on the original album but did not feature Nas. At one point, the song was also supposed to feature The Notorious B.I.G.
