JEEZY & JEANNIE MAI'S MESSY SPLIT COMES TO AN END AS THEY FINALIZE DIVORCE

JEEZY & JEANNIE MAI’S MESSY SPLIT COMES TO AN END AS THEY FINALIZE DIVORCE

JEEZY & JEANNIE MAI

Jeezy and his ex-wife Jeannie Mai have finally come to terms on their split as they’ve finalized their divorce after two years of marriage.

The Atlanta rapper first filed for divorce nine months ago, claiming his marriage to TV presenter Mai was “irretrievably broken” with “no hope for reconciliation.”

A judge has now formally dissolved their marriage and sealed their case, meaning the details of their divorce will be kept private including information related to child custody agreements and financial settlements.

Following the announcement of his filing for divorce, Jeezy released a statement saying: “The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart. Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”

He continued: “Our beautiful daughter is the best gift from our relationship, and I am committed to assuring she feels the love and stability she deserves.

Martin Lawrence Will Smith in ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’

Sony’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die jolted the battered summer box office back to life with a better-than-expected domestic opening of $56 million and $104.6 million globally.

Moreover, it puts Will Smith on the road to a career comeback two years after the infamous Oscars slap.

Ride or Die, reuniting Smith with Martin Lawrence, is the fourth outing in Sony’s long-running franchise and earned an A- CinemaScore in North America alongside generally positive reviews. Just as promising, 44 percent of the audience was between ages 18 and 34, showing Smith has a following among younger consumers. Black moviegoers made up the largest quadrant of the audience with 44 percent.

Ride or Die is arguably the first film of the summer to come in notably ahead of tracking, which had it opening in the $48 million to $50 million range. It’s also the second biggest domestic launch of the season behind Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, which debuted to $58 million domestically.

The $100 million film is the follow-up to Bad Boys for Life, which opened to $62 million domestically in January 2022 on its way to earning $426 million at the global box office before theaters were shut due to the pandemic. The Bad Boys series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Kevin Hart To Interview Ben Affleck On ‘Hart To Heart’ Talk Show

Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart and Peacock are bringing the streaming talk show Hart to Heart back for a fourth season this month.

Hart will sit down with Oscar-winning filmmaker and actor Ben Affleck for an hour-long conversation, Peacock said in a recent press release.

The news comes as Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, his wife of nearly two years, reportedly head toward divorce.

Peacock didn’t say when the interview with Affleck was recorded, so it’s unclear if he’ll address reports of a pending divorce or this weekend’s news that he and Lopez “quietly” put their $60 million marital home in Beverly Hills on the market.

Affleck isn’t the only A-lister who will sit down with Hart this season. Other confirmed guests include George Lopez, Cynthia Erivo, Andy Samberg, Judd Apatow and Niecy Nash.

Jeezy’s Ex-Fiancée And Nanny Defends Him Against Jeannie Mai’s Abuse Allegations

Jeezy’s Ex-Fiancée And Nanny Defends Him Against Jeannie Mai’s Abuse Allegations

Jeezy

In the midst of Jeezy’s ongoing battle against abuse claims made by his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai, the Atlanta rapper has received support from his ex-fiancée and nanny. Both have filed affidavits defending his character.

According to court documents obtained by HipHopDX on June 7, Mahlet Gebremedhin, the mother of Jeezy’s older daughter, Amra, praised him as a devoted father. “I’ve witnessed Jay be a devoted, caring, and present Father to our daughter and his oldest child [son Jadarius],” Gebremedhin stated. “At no point was Jay ever physically, mentally or emotionally abusive to his children or me.”

Minhee Hoffler, Jeezy’s nanny, echoed these sentiments. “As a caretaker, I believe Mr. Jenkins gives his daughters the support they need as they grow into young women in the future,” Hoffler wrote. “Mr. Jenkins is a hardworking person, but even a more hardworking dad.”

Additionally, Robyn Wallace, a friend, and Shelley Nichols, whose husband is Jeezy’s close friend and real estate broker, have also filed similar claims supporting the rapper.

Tina Knowles Says Beyoncé Was 'Shy and Got Bullied' Growing Up

Tina Knowles Says Beyoncé Was ‘Shy and Got Bullied’ Growing Up

Tina Knowles and Beyoncé

Tough girl is what Beyoncé had to be when facing school bullies.

In fact, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s mother Tina Knowles reflected on her favorite memories of her childhood, and shared that Queen Bey went through some struggles in school.

“Beyoncé—she was very shy, and she got bullied a bit,” Tina shared in a Voguevideo posted May 27. “But the day that she stood up for someone—she didn’t stand up for herself but she stood up for them, I’m getting emotional talking about it—I couldn’t have been more proud.”

And while Tina visibly teared up when describing Beyoncé’s school days, she also gushed about her other daughter, Solange and Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland, who lived with the Knowles family from a young age.

“Solange, she was only in about fifth grade and she was out getting petitions signed,” Tina added. “So she was always an activist.”

As for Kelly, Tina noted, “I remember her being this little peacemaker.”

KODAK BLACK'S CARS VANDALIZED AS BABY MAMA DRAMA BOILS OVER

KODAK BLACK’S CARS VANDALIZED AS BABY MAMA DRAMA BOILS OVER

Kodak Black‘s cars have been vandalized by one of his baby mothers after he was seen linking up with his other baby mother.

Maranda Johnson, who recently welcomed a baby boy with the Florida rapper, posted a picture on Instagram of two of Kodak’s luxury vehicles smashed up with their windows ruined.

Seemingly taking credit for the attack, Johnson captioned the image: “Hoe yo shit next! Bitches better find them a bitch to play with.”

Even With Trump Convicted, His 'Mini-Trumps' Still Make Him Dangerous to Black People

Even With Trump Convicted, His ‘Mini-Trumps’ Still Make Him Dangerous to Black People

Donald Trump just became the first former U.S. president to be found guilty of a felony, having been convicted of all 34 counts of his hush money trial on Thursday afternoon.

However, the law of the land says he’s still eligible to be elected to a second presidential term and his supporters will certainly be out in full force to support him on November 5, leaving many Democrats scratching their heads, wondering how it’s possible that Trump is a viable candidate for president following a conviction — not to mention the strife and violence he caused while in office.

Fortunately, there’s no inevitability about Trump winning the White House in 2024. Polls show that his early lead over President Biden is marginal at best. And there’s no telling how his 88 criminal indictments will play out in the courts and among independent voters who will likely decide this close presidential race.

Still, even if Trump is not elected president, he has puppets in high places who have unabashedly shown their allegiance to him and “Trumpism.”

In a stunning revelation, The New York Times reported that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito flew an upside-down U.S. flag outside his Alexandria, Va., home after Trump supporters attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

MAGA Republicans have coopted the inverted flag that the military has used to signal distress. Unsurprisingly, some of them flew it at the riot, but it was shocking to see a Supreme Court justice boldly display his alliance with the insurrection.

Alito blamed his wife for displaying the controversial symbol. But a week later, The Times reported that Alito also flew the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, another MAGA symbol, two years after the insurrection from his vacation house in New Jersey.

Alito, a staunch conservative, has written opinions against voting rights for African Americans and opposing abortion and LGBTQ rights. Yet, he claims that liberals pose a threat to freedom. As a Trump loyalist, he’s now poised to hear cases involving the Capitol riots and whether the former president has immunity for his role in sparking the insurrection.

If Trump fails to win the White House, his mini-me, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is waiting in the wings for a 2028 presidential bid after losing the 2024 GOP primary to his boss.

Trump and DeSantis are sometimes allies and sometimes enemies. Recently, the pendulum swung back to allies in April when the governor met privately with Trump and kissed his ring. According to The Washington Post, they buried the hatched, and DeSantis agreed to help Trump retake the White House.

Like his mentor, DeSantis has fashioned himself into a right-wing political warrior in his “war on woke,” which amounts to attacking diversity, silencing discussions about racism, whitewashing America’s racist history and reversing progressive policies. DeSantis is the evil wizard behind a series of anti-Black policies in Florida that prompted the NAACP to warn that the Sunshine State is dangerous for Black people.

Meanwhile, the second person in line for the presidency, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, created, what the Associated Press described as “a remarkable moment in modern American politics,” when he traveled to Trump’s hush money trial in New York to condemn the court system as “corrupt.”

Indeed, Johnson has a history of supporting Trump’s mess. According to NBC News, he was instrumental in aiding Trump’s efforts to overturn Biden’s 2020 presidential victory. It’s a shameful about-face for Johnson, who said in 2015 that Trump was unfit to serve as president and could be dangerous.

Since then, his dependance on Trump has grown. In November, Johnson sought the GOP boss’ help to save his speakership when hard-right Trump allies in the House threatened to remove him for joining with Democrats to avert a government shutdown.

Trump is a puppet master. Johnson, DeSantis, Alito, and many others are undoubtedly ready, willing, and able to carry out his bidding.

DIDDY GOT WENDY WILLIAMS FIRED FROM HOT 97 OVER ‘GAY’ CLAIM, CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD SAYS

Diddy allegedly got Wendy Williams fired from Hot 97 for suggesting that the Bad Boy Records founder was gay, according to Charlamagne Tha God.

Speaking on comedian Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast, the Breakfast Club host addressed the tumultuous history between his mentor Williams and Diddy, which goes back several decades.

“Wendy’s whole thing was Diddy was gay,” Charlamagne said. “That’s why Wendy got fired from Hot 97. Wendy got fired from Hot 97 by Diddy ’cause that’s when Bad Boy was smoking hot. She got fired for putting that out there.”

Williams was fired from Hot 97 in 1998 after suggesting that the media mogul was homosexual. She allegedly had a photo of Diddy in an intimate situation with another man.
