Tiger Woods will play the first two rounds of the 2012 Open Championship this week at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in England with Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose, it was announced Monday.

The trio played its first round Thursday and the second round Friday at 9:43 a.m. ET.

Woods, the only three-time winner on the PGA Tour this year, is trying to capture his fourth Claret Jug. He previously won Open Champion-ship titles in 2000 and 2005 at the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland, and in 2006 at Royal Liverpool in England.

Woods has seven top-10 finishes in Open Champion-ships.

First-time winners have won nine straight majors.

Lia Neal isn’t old enough to vote, but she’s already making history. The 17-year-old Brooklyn swimmer placed fourth in the 100-meter freestyle finals in Omaha, NB. That means she’s punched a ticket to the 2012 London Olympics. Neal is only the second African-American woman to make a U.S. Olympic Swim Team, and she’s one of three blacks to swim for the U.S. this year.

Neal already nabbed a gold medal in the 100 freestyle at the World Junior Championships. She hopes to return to her Flatbush neighborhood with another.

LOS ANGELES — LeBron James was the big winner at the ESPY Awards, collecting three trophies including male athlete of the year for helping the Miami Heat win the NBA championship.

James wasn’t on hand for the 20th annual show celebrating the year’s best athletes and moments in sports. He was in Las Vegas with the rest of the U.S. national team preparing for the London Olympics.

James also won in the championship performance and NBA player categories. He shared in the best team award.

Baylor basketball star Brittney Griner won two trophies, including female athlete of the year in which she beat out French Open champion Maria Sharapova, skier Lindsay Vonn and soccer player Abby Wambach.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Relay sprinter Debbie Dunn has withdrawn from the U.S. Olympic team after testing positive for excessive testosterone.

Dunn, who finished fourth in the 400 meters at Olympic trials, was selected for the American relay pool. She is the 2010 world indoor champion at 400 meters.

In a statement Friday, she acknowledged a positive doping test and said she was withdrawing from the Olympics while the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency resolves the case.

NEW YORK  — New York Knicks point guard Jason Kidd was arrested on a drunken-driving charge after police said he crashed his SUV into a telephone pole in the Hamptons on Sunday, days after signing with the Knicks.

Treated at a hospital for minor injuries after the crash, Kidd was arraigned on a misdemeanor driving-while-intoxicated charge and released without bail, Southampton Town police said.

Kidd’s agent didn’t immediately respond to phone or email messages. The Knicks, who signed the 10-time All-Star in free agency this week, had no immediate comment.

Kidd, 39, was alone in the 2010 Cadillac Escalade when it hit a pole and veered into the woods around 2 a.m. in Water Mill, police said. Water Mill is a serene, mainly residential community east of Southampton Village.

Kidd’s next court date wasn’t immediate available. The DWI charge carries the potential for up to a year in jail.

MIAMI — Rashard Lewis has decided to join the Miami Heat, becoming yet another shooting option for the reigning NBA champions.

Agent Tony Dutt said the free agent forward and the Heat agreed to terms on Tuesday, and Lewis is expected to sign his contract Wednesday in Miami.

Lewis’ decision comes just four days after Ray Allen agreed to accept an offer from Miami.

Allen and Lewis were Seattle teammates for five seasons, from 2003 through 2007 – and both figure to fit perfectly into Miami’s plan to surround LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with even more shooters who can stretch defenses.

NEW YORK — Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is launching a sports clothing line called V7 that will be sold exclusively at East Coast sporting goods shop Modell’s.

Vick is now among the highest-paid players in the NFL, and recently married longtime fiancée, Kijafa Frink. Vick has re-signed with Nike and added other endorsements for companies such as MusclePharm Corp.

He has also since spoken out about animal cruelty.

The line includes technical athletic clothing such as T-shirts. Part of the proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia.

It was developed in a licensing partnership with celebrity clothing-line mogul Ruby Azrak and former ICM talent agent Brian Sher, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

Vick led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 10-6 record and an NFC East title in 2010, and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

He faced injuries and inconsistent performance in the 2011 season. The 2012 NFL season begins Sept. 5.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Vikings star, Adrian Peterson was a victim, not the aggressor, during an altercation with authorities that led to his arrest at a Houston night club over the weekend, his attorney said Monday.

Peterson, a Texas native who makes his offseason home in Houston, was arrested and taken to jail early Saturday morning and charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. Police said he pushed an off-duty police officer who was working security at the club. An initial court appearance is set for Friday.

Peterson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, called the charge and the allegation that he shoved the officer “a total fabrication.”

“He, in fact, was struck at least twice in the face for absolutely no legitimate reason, and when all the evidence is impartially reviewed, it will clearly show Adrian was the victim, not the aggressor,” Hardin said in a statement.

Houston police declined comment on the details.

A night out in his hometown ended in Dion Lewis’ arrest after he and his brother allegedly pulled a fire alarm at an Albany, N.Y. hotel.

After a night out on the town, Lewis, 21, and his brother, Lamar were returning to Dion’s room at a Hampton Inn around 4:40 a.m. when they got locked out of the sliding glass doors to the hotel lobby. The men allegedly tried banging on the doors but no one heard them.

Both the Eagles running back and kick returner and his older brother were allegedly intoxicated at the time, police said.

At some point one of the brothers allegedly pulled the fire alarm, cops said.

The brothers were arrested without incident and Dion was arraigned on the charges  Sunday and was released on his own recognizance.
