The Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved on from veteran pass rusher Shaq Barrett this offseason, saving some salary cap space and opening up opportunities for younger players to get more reps at outside linebacker in 2024.
Barrett signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins after being let go by the Bucs, and it’s clear he’s got a chip on his shoulder after Tampa Bay decided to release him.
“A lot to prove,” Barrett said this week (via Joe Schad, Palm Beach Post). “Especially getting cut from another team like that, adds another whole fuel to the fire right there. And I’m like, Dolphins gonna’ be happy they signed me. Tampa gonna’ be mad they let me go.”

The No. 5 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft out of LSU, White brought rare athleticism and speed to his position, and provided some of the most iconic moments in Bucs history during their epic Super Bowl run back in 2020.
Before he heads off to Philly to continue his NFL career, White took a moment to share a heartfelt tribute to the Bucs coaches and staff, his teammates, and the Tampa Bay community.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards threw down the most ferocious dunk of the year on Monday night, and the play has gotten even more impressive with every new angle that surfaces.
The Timberwolves were trailing the Utah Jazz 66-65 midway through the third quarter at Delta Center in Salt Lake City when Edwards posterized John Collins. Edwards soared several feet through the air and drew a foul but still managed to finish the play.
A lot of angles of the dunk have been shown, but this might be the best of the bunch:
That play is going to haunt Collins forever. At least he can say he was victimized by one of the best players in the NBA.
