The event was held on Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Cyrus Greene Community Center. Educator Ends Career After 36 Years

On Wednesday, December 1st, educators gathered at Sheehy Elementary School to wish the best to Mrs. Fontaine Marion, who retired after 36 years as an educator. A long-time Tampa resident, Mrs. Marion is active in several professional and social organizations. Hundreds of her family, friends, and colleagues were on hand to help her celebrate. Young Classical Musicians Take The Stage At The Straz

Jazmin Williams, Janira Williams, Earl Grant, Jarah Williams, Camille Samuel and Kyndall Johnson were among dozens of Bay area children performing before a packed auditorium in a classical music concert at TECO Theater in the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.  The children range in age from six to 16 years old and performed more than 40 selections on the piano and violin by composers that include Bach and Kabalevsky. The Royal Court of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University was among a host of students and officials in town to recruit new students. TAMPA PARK RESIDENTS ENJOY SIT-DOWN LUNCHEON

The residents at Tampa Park Apartments, Inc. enjoyed a Thanksgiving luncheon on Friday, November 19, 2010 at the complex’s Community Room. The “Become A Better You” program, a program for residents of Tampa Park, hosted the event. Sponsors of the luncheon were Home Health Agency, Ike Thomas, Agent; Foundation Health, Freedom Pharmacy, Infinity Eye Care, American Senior Association, Arthritis Pain Solutions, Dr. Rappaport, Tampa Bay ENT and Rehab Matters. The meal was prepared by Chef Cliff of Metropolitan Ministries.
