EDISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HOLIDAY GIFT GIVEAWAY

            The students, faculty and staff at Edison Elementary School were surprised when Santa showed up to distribute gifts to 320 students. BOOK SIGNING FOR LAUNCH OF FIRST PUBLISHED BOOK

 A local children’s book author and former elementary school teacher was the center of attention earlier this month when a book signing was held for her first published book. The very well attended book signing for Lisa Hook Bell, seated, center, was held at the University of South Florida TECO Hall. The title of the book is Kenya and the Terrible Tornado Toilet. DOING GOOD DEEDS FOR THE CHILDREN

             This group of men are doing good deeds for the children in our community. That may be the reason their organization is called, “Doing Good Deeds Productions,” something they have done for the past 15 years. Their Christmas party was held recently at the Sons of Italy Hall, and those who attended had to donate toys that will be given to community children. These men are: Tyrone Comer, Gerald Davis, Roosevelt Lawrence, Nate Welch, Tony Williams, Gary Welch, Wiley Kelly, Corey Bunn, Patrick Bellamy, Thirus Jones and Tawan Thompson. MEN OF VISION RECOGNIZED AT KEEP TAMPA BAY BEAUTIFUL BREAKFAST

49^th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED IN BACKYARD TENT

            More than 100 guests of family and friends joined Ms. Fatima Clanton (better known as “Dee-Dee”) in her backyard tent set up just to celebrate her 49^th birthday. BLACK BUSINESS BUS TOUR PARK EVENT

            The Black Business Bus Tour hosted an event last month in the Park at Re-Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Several vendors gathered with founder Candy Lowe to present and share their goods. MIDDLETON HIGH ALUMNI HOST GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER

            The Middleton High School Alumni Association hosted a golf tournament fundraiser Saturday, October 22, 2022. The fundraising event was held at Rogers Park Golf Course to benefit the Eddie Smith, Sr. Scholarship Fund at Middleton.
