BOUNCE TV EXECUTIVES MEET WITH TAMPA REPRESENTATIVES

Executives from Bounce TV met with several representatives in the Tampa Bay Area at a Wednesday morning breakfast. The meeting was held at the Marriott Westshore Hotel. The purpose of the meet and greet was to discuss programming ideas, and participate in a question and answer session. Representatives from Bounce TV, which airs in Tampa on WFTT, 50.2, were: Ryan Glover, President of Bounce TV, Jeffrey Wolf, Executive Vice President Distribution, Ms. Tracy Underwood, Vice President Affiliate Relations and others. T. D. Wilson and Terry Clark, Account Executives with the Sentinel Bulletin, are shown with Bounce TV President, Ryan Glover and Lawrence Hires.

WOMEN OF MANY HATS HONORED FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

    The Traveler’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church of St. Petersburg honored Women of Many Hats for its community service in the Bay Area.  Women of Many Hats has serviced the community for more than 6 years with several charity programs. The ministry was organized in 2003 from the image of the late Mrs. Irene E. Westley with the vision to be a service-oriented ministry that demonstrates how God uses people to help people. Their drive stems from 5 basic core values: Legacy, Share, Masterpiece, Compassion and Integrity. The mission of the ministry is to organize events and programs for women/girls and men/boys. MIDDLETON HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HONORS COACH BILLY REED

    The Middleton High School held its Annual All-Class Reunion last month. There were several events over three days. The Scholarship Dinner Dance was held at the DoubleTree Tampa Westshore Airport on June 22, 2013. The theme was “Keeping The Middleton Spirit Alive.” The Master of Ceremony for the evening was Henry “Shake” Washington. The highlight of the evening was honoring Coach Billy Reed, seated in front. TEENS EARN TITLES IN ‘MISS FLORIDA ELK’ PAGEANT

 Young ladies representing Bay City Elks Lodge #268 and Temple #158 participated in the “Miss Florida Elk” pageant and represented well. Tampa’s Ms. Anubia Guyton-Lewis earned the title of “Miss Florida Elk.” Also from Tampa, Ms. Julisa Williams was the third runner-up and earned the title of “Miss Congeniality.” The finalists, seated left to right are: Ms. Anubia Guyton-Lewis, Ms. Trialani Hill, Ms. Julisa Williams, and Ms. Lyric Boyd, who was the second place winner.   The 6th Annual Re-Entry Resource Expo was held last Saturday at the Lee Davis Neighborhood Service Center. Several resource partners were available to answer questions and provide information. There were also workshops to assist individuals who are background challenged in re-entering the workforce and information for those seeking restoration of rights. FOUR YOUNG WOMEN RECEIVE DAUGHTERS OF ISIS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Harram Court No. 96, Daughters of Isis recently awarded four L. Glenn Brown Memorial Scholarships to graduating seniors. The presentation took place during a Joint Awards Ceremony with the Harram Temple No. 23, on June 5th. The guest speaker for the ceremony was Tampa City Councilman Frank Reddick. The recipients are Gaither high School graduate Angela Anderson, who will be attending the University of Florida; Wharton High School graduate, Deborah Floyd, who will attend Florida A & M University; Strawberry Crest High School graduate Antoinea Lyles, who will attend Howard University; and Audry Zipperer, who graduated from Newsome High School and who will attend the University of Florida. MEN OF VALOR CONFERENCE TERMED SUCCESSFUL EVENT

     The men of Shekinah Glory Cathedral Church of God in Christ are pleased about the success of their Inaugural Men’s Conference. The conference, entitled “Men of Valor and Purpose,” was held June 7 and 8, 2013 at the church, 1301 S. 78th St. Speakers addressed those in attendance on Friday evening and a breakfast was held Saturday morning with more guest speakers. The keynote speaker was Superintendent Linwood Dillard. Among those in attendance on Friday who also participated were: from left, Superintendent Anthony W.
